Did you check the obvious? The files on D aren't marked with the hidden attribute? You can't see them when you boot from a Linux Live CD? Something may be trying to hide them from clueless users so they don't accidently remove them.
We can program with only 1's, but if all you've got are zeros, you've got nothing.

I didn't, because it would make no sense that the attibute is set for just one user generated test folder or test.txt file.
Files generated using Boot CD don't show in Windows
Files / Folder from Windows don't show in environment of BootCD
And even more interesting... if delete / create the partition from bootcd changes are reflected in windows. If I only format the partition using bootcd... test file and folder remain untouched in windows. Hidden files would be deleted as well, wouldn't they?
All other pcs at home or my parents-in-law work normal. Means same CD sees windows and windows see new backups

Any chance Windows and the bootCD are using different partition tables? You can have both a GPT and an MBR one, although it would probably break things if you tried to use them simultaneously. If you're using a mixture of old and new tools and OSs, you could be exercising this sort of scenario.
Yes, formatting the partition should wipe everything out. Unless they're actually different places on the disk, hence my question about partition tables.
As far as disk media testing goes, you do know not to use the windows tools for any of that sort of checking, right?

I was starting to think in that way...
BootCD is like from time Win Vista / beggining of Win 7.
The fact that both things are consistent means the drive is working fine, only that both systems can't speak with each other.
I still have one or two ideas in the box I want to check.
About media check, I usually use the ones on the bootcd, not the ones from windows. I already lost the contents of one USB drive due to windows "check" question when pluging in

Corrao, of Orlando, was arrested on a charge of felony animal cruelty — a year and 15 days after his release from prison on charges that he shot and killed two chained dogs at point-blank range with a shotgun.
Corrao has a long history of arrests in Florida, records show, starting at the age of 25 with drug charges. He has also faced charges of hit and run, child abuse, contributing to the delinquency of a child, driving under the influence, DUI with serious bodily injury and burglary.
Clearly, not the model citizen. Only a monster can shoot and kill dogs.
As with child abusers, I personally think they should be locked up in isolation for a long time. Repeat offenders need to be put down so as to keep the children safe.

Does this include monsters protecting their livestock

Protecting livestock by shooting a couple of chained dogs at point blank range? Sorry, I didn't know you were a troll.

The OP replied to your quote about "only monsters can shoot dogs." OP gave you a scenario where they would not be a monster but actually would be a hero by shooting a dog.
That's not trolling, just helping to clarify the statement you made. Remember, this is a site full of pedants.

I made my conclusion based on other observations I made. This is a troll who's been around in different display names. Please note that another member has pointed out the same thing above.

If not the same member, this is another troll, looking at the behaviour. The profile seems to have several troll reports so I'm not alone in feeling this way.

When we grow up, we're still scared of monsters, but the monsters are us.

Didn't see the original post, but it's probably about the event at Busch Gardens. If that guy did it, killing him only once would be too good for his sorry ass.

Mate, you didn't have to clear out your post. Everyone has a right to voice their opinion and you're no less.
Besides that, some dogpiling is normal around here (OK, less so than in soapbox), so a bit of thick skin would help.

My computer is repaired and on its way back. It should be here Friday. A whole week earlier than expected.
It turns out that the clip that holds the power jack to the motherboard was faulty, and had broken. It was part of a bad batch, according to the repair details.

Yup. It shipped yesterday (Fedex Ground) and is already in Indiana. A lot faster than expected.
