I've oft wondered about it existing myself; but the supposed existence of it seems to show up whenever the usual suspects decide its time to flame the competition for being hostile to people who don't post the sort of questions it wants while dislocating their shoulders by praising CP for being so much better.
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, waging all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?

No the robust members were extremely civilised, in past days the vitriol would have been dripping off the screen.
While there seems to be a healthy level of kick the opposition, I don't recall the we so much better clique.

Seriously? The first post is nothing bad at all, yes there is the Moderator forum, but it is read by a handful of people occasionally. And it was a question to every member, so the Lounge is still a good place to publish.
The second post has mildly sarcastic answers, nothing offensive just plain funny. It is to be expected as not even READING the freaking top of the page. Picture this scene: you have an office near the door to the toilet when a loony suddenly enters the office with its tool in hands looking for the toilets. At the very least you'd make fun of him for the next two weeks, most often somebody would yell at him. Entering a forum without reading the guidelines posted in every friggin page and starting away posting crap is just the transposition of the scene in a forum.

And there's also nothing wrong with stack overflow's process of deciding something is outside their narrow range of on-topic and activating the downvote, vote to close, vote to delete destruction engine.

If the question is posted in the wrong forum, yes. I wouldn't try to buy a box of ammo from Pizza Hut...

Yes you do. Unless you're a nerd who's not cool. So, are you a nerd who's not cool?

So at what point does the Back to the Future theme come in? I haven't watched the movies in years, but I'm sure I'd still recognize some parts of it, even remixed in some techno track.

I have an Aimpoint Pro - the bushnell should work pretty good.
I went out shooting this weekend. Spent 300 rounds. One guy wanted to buy my rifle because he liked the camo paint job. Offered me $1500 - I passed on the offer.
