Thanks Ravi, yeah it was a tough time, happened right after my appendix burst.

Makes sense. Reading too much can definitely bring on critical pains...
If you have an important point to make, don't try to be subtle or clever. Use a pile driver. Hit the point once. Then come back and hit it again. Then hit it a third time - a tremendous whack.

A Giraffe's heart is 2 ft long and pumps at 150 bpm. And that is for an animal 5 meters tall.
If matey boy didnt have something proportionate, almost a foot long, then its not a surprise it gave out.

He was a regular back round the ol' home town - always had time to talk to people; a genuinely nice lad. This is a real shame. Hannah is devastated; she met him for the first time last year and he took the time to chat with her (the height difference made this look very odd).

The Psion returns! Meet Gemini, the 21st century pocket computer
Psion, was a lion, in iron (Reg readers called it)
The original Psion designers have returned to put the classic British pocket computer in a modern body.

So after scraping the bottom of the barrel for work for a while now, I am at the opposite end of the spectrum. If any more comes in I may need to either reject it or put a long lead in onto it.
I currently have:
- A full time 40 hour/week contract moving to permanent;
- Supporting a charity's web site around 20 hours/week;
- An old project [pasim] resurrected over the weekend as someone's now paying.
Damned work! It certainly is the curse of the drinking classes.

My FIL used to make coffee so strong your eyes watered before you drank anything. I got used to drinking strong coffee and I habitually drink while cogitating. Works in my cube, as all the best code-monkeys say.

I come by it through my maternal grandmother. She made coffee so strong the family referred to it as battery acid. I make mine strong, but unfortunately it has to be 80% decaf to keep my blood pressure down .
