Yeah, obviously nobody will ever get the solution and nobody ever codes the same code

Seems like he got much bigger problems to worry about than plagiarism.
The IT Security Office finding out him posting crucial code on a public site, for instance - If it was crucial. Otherwise he wouldn't need to worry.

Found some code on here a few years ago that looked familiar, so I emailed the most likely candidate for having posted it (at work) and also replied to the question along the lines of "better remove the comments that identify the company that this code came from". Question disappeared, but the perpetrator then emails me (internally at work) asking for the solution to the problem!
Given that I was going to be made redundant because most of the on-shore roles had been off-shore outsourced, this bloke was one of those off-shore replacements, and the solution was bl***y obvious, I was a tad angry. You can imagine how much help I gave him!

I was thinking about writing a comment but can't make up my mind:
It is ignorant to ask a community and then remove the code. But it might be better to hide such code from being used by others. |
HA-HA-HAAAAA!
I plagiarisated your entire posting!

So any Tony, Dick and Vivic can have a daily thought now?
Why can't people come up with something original? Or at LEAST create their own subject line?

Maybe OriginalGriff should change the title of his messages to Original Thought of the Day.

Yes, it's high time we had some new pun threads:
For criminal legal gags: Tort of the Day
For military word-play: Fort of the Day
For enthusiastic drinkers and/or seafarers: Port of the Day
For those who prefer over-sized beers: Quart of the Day
... of for those who prefer whisky: Short of the Day
For those who like to joke about coke: Snort of the Day
For those who love tennis: Court of the Day
... or for more general balls about balls: Sport of the Day
I'll get my coat.
