I thought that the price was good for these[^], until I noticed that they are metal soapboxes, not metasoapboxes.
The language is JavaScript. that of Mordor, which I will not utter here
This is Javascript. If you put big wheels and a racing stripe on a golf cart, it's still a f***ing golf cart.
"I don't know, extraterrestrial?"
"You mean like from space?"
"No, from Canada."
If software development were a circus, we would all be the clowns.

Thinking about it: Recursion obviously also is a subject for the soapbox or a metasoapbox of higher order

I'll be the one to clearly state what you obviously know:
The title pushes this to the Soapbox more than the content - surely you didn't pick this as an introduction by accident.

[A little diff for this Weak; a tribute to Mom]
My Mom went Home (Heaven) this past week.
I wrote this poem for her:
Forever Near
bRYgUY - 5/17/2017
May it be soon, our grieving not prolong,
That, of our joy, our hearts may, in song,
Sweet of rapturous chorus, bespoken sound,
Memories of Nana forever abound.
It fair, be said, truly, I know not,
That which our life may seem without.
Yet shall always be known eternal love,
She sees us, her Little Ones, from Above.
We weep this day, certainly a few,
To come, once again, the joy so true.
Holding in our hearts her sweetest embrace,
Her beloved kiss upon our face.
Of time, it will seem undeservedly great,
For, anew eternal, our smiles to wait,
When burdensome time shall be no more,
We & Nana & Papa meet at Heaven's Door:
"Our Love, Our Mom!"
... "My Children, so Dear!"
... ... Together Again.
... ... ... Forever Near.

In time the pain recedes, but never leaves.
It was probably 10 years before the anniversary past without realizing what day it was.
Having said that.. cherish the memories, reflect on the good times, think on what made you laugh.

What do you get when you cross a joke with a rhetorical question?
The metaphorical solid rear-end expulsions have impacted the metaphorical motorized bladed rotating air movement mechanism.
Do questions with multiple question marks annoy you???

It's but a few days short of a year since my father passed. A few months more than a year for my mother. I feel it in my eyes at times - and oddly, a gentle smile comes.
Tears for what is gone and cannot come back. A helplessness we feel time and again until mortality overtakes overtakes even us. But you have the good memories. So I can assure you the smiles will come with the tears. The moments will even be welcome.
A short poem of my own, from about ten years ago:
The things upon which our happiness depends
are the self-same reasons by which it ends.
But a little bit always stays behind. Always just enough.

A friend sent me this, and I pass it on:
A Keeper
Their marriage was good, their dreams focused.
Their best friends lived barely a wave away.
I can see them now, Dad in trousers, tee shirt and a hat and Mom in a house dress, lawn mower in one hand, and dish-towel in the other.
It was the time for fixing things.
A curtain rod, the kitchen radio, screen door, the oven door, the hem in a dress.
Things we keep.
It was a way of life, and sometimes it made me crazy.
All that re-fixing, eating, renewing,
I wanted just once to be wasteful.
Waste meant affluence.
Throwing things away meant you knew there'd always be more.
But then my mother died, and on that clear summer's night, in the warmth of the hospital room, I was struck with the pain of learning that sometimes there isn't any more.
Sometimes, what we care about most gets all used up and goes away...never to return.
So... While we have it... it's best we love it...
And care for it.... And fix it when it's broken.....
And heal it when it's sick.
This is true...
For marriage....
And old cars....
And children with bad report cards.....
Dogs and cats with bad hips....
And aging parents....
And grandparents.
We keep them because they are worth it, because we are worth it.
Some things we keep.
Like a best friend that moved away or a classmate we grew up with.
There are just some things that make life important, like people we know who are special....
And so, we keep them close!
I received this from someone who thinks I am a 'keeper', so I've sent it to the people I think of in the same way...
Good friends are like stars.... You don't always see them, but you know they are always there
People are made to be Loved and Things are made to be Used
There is so much confusion in this World because people are being Used and Things are being Loved.
Be kind... everyone you meet is fighting a terrible battle.
Thanks for being part of MY life!

Have you watched the original?
I haven't--and I'm trying to figure out whether I should bother.

I did watch the original, which was a lot of fun and very creative, until it became too self-absorbed.
This "sequel" appears to be trying to match the weirdness of the original, but without the creativity -- it looks like typical hollywood-trying-to-be-surreal pap, which never works.
Take a look at the first ep for yourself (tastes vary), but don't expect anything more than "Ooh, we're being really mysterious, because we haven't really figured out what we're going to do with the story, yet, and we can't do anything concrete until we've had a look at the ratings and imdb comments".
Better to find a copy of the original, and watch that, if you haven't already.
