Will binge watch when finished (18 eps).
I'm watching american gods first series (1 ep to go) - it's somewhere out there too - way strange how and what's being told.
Hoping that last ep has an answer or two coz it's like a bowl of spaghetti with no idea what's at the bottom (yeah the main story is announced but how or even if it's getting there I still don't know.)
Worth a look bat a warning: the director seems a bit penis obsessed.
Sin tack

I haven't yet had the chance to see any of American Gods the main story seemded to be of interest... I just hope there is not a trend for 'clever' read pretentious storys. The old Twin Peaks was a little odd but there was the underlying murder plot, the new one only has the vaugest connection mostly agent Copper acting odd.

I sometimes feel that astrophysicists should go out and get a life, but it holds even more so for "science reporters" - most of which can't understand why it's cooler at night...

Probably the best joke ever written was in Futurama
Quote: Fry: Oh, man, this is great! Hey, as long as you don't make me smell Uranus.
[He laughs.]
Leela: I don't get it.
Farnsworth: I'm sorry, Fry, but astronomers renamed Uranus in 2620 to end that stupid joke once and for all..
Fry: Oh. What's it called now?
Farnsworth: Urectum.

Well, they only go to the churches places of worship that provide the largest party donations. So that means no, they don't go to Christian churches...

It's not what they say, it's what they do (or don't do) that requires so much forgiveness. Actually, to hell with forgiveness. Kick 'em all out!

Saturday was not good. My sister called - my youngest brother (55) was diagnosed with colon cancer FOR THE THIRD TIME!! He gets checkups every three months, the last one was clean, now its back with a vengeance All three of my brothers have had colon cancer, one is dead. Both grandmothers had it and two uncles. I get checked every two years.
I fell off a wagon I have been on for over thirty years, and got stinking drunk. I climbed back on Monday - luckily my wife understood.
And, to make it worse, Sunday was my 65th birthday.

Cancer sucks big time.
Here's hoping for the best outcome: a fall from the wagon is to be expected at such a time.

Given the disturbing news you've had, it may seem strange to wish you a Happy Birthday, but I'm going to do it anyway
When I had cancer, the essay by Stephen J. Gould, "The Median is not the Message," was very helpful to me [^] in making sense of the prognosis: the survival rates, etc. The essay has helped many people strengthen their positive, most rational, ways of thinking ... that's as important for the family members as it is for the person with cancer.
Gould wrote the article after he had cancer, and he survived that cancer, and lived another twenty years.
take care, Bill

Hey is there anyone here in the Los Angeles / Hollywood area who wants to work for mid-level developer role / rate to be in entertainment in Hollywood? I got a referral for you if so. It's not a senior role, so don't expect to retire at the rate they're paying but it'll cover your bills at least. And as a perk you'll get to work with some big names I'm told in this position.
Hope this doesn't come across as spam. There is no job board any more.
