I was outside 50 minutes ago and had already forgot about it. Supposedly we were to get 86% coverage, but all I saw was haze; c'est la vie!

I was scheduled in a meeting for all but 12 minutes of the eclipse . It's not as much of a disappointment as it sounds, since our weather was fairly overcast today. I've seen it get darker just before a line of thunderstorms came through.

In Montréal, today, we will only have a 58% moon coverage.
But just making a simple pin-hole "camera" to see the eclipse and take a few minutes to go out and try it out is really fun.
Waiting for April 2024!

Our code has only about 3% coverage, 58% isn't so bad!

Sun coverage. FTFY.
I think we'd know if the sun got in-between the moon and the Earth.

When I was little we used to take a shallow stainless steel vessel and fill it with water and put it outside and we can easily see reflection of sun and eclipse.

I was amazed to see (via TV coverage) so many idiots taking flash photos of the eclipse!

I drove down to the Zone of Totality to watch and someone there decided to blast that song twice in an hour. Fortunately they were polite enough to not do so during the actual event.
Also, is it just me or does the "Zone of Totality" sounds like some comic book super villain's domain?

Yep.
When I read it, I read with the narrator's deep thunderous voice "ZONE...OF....TOTALLLLIIITY", or something like that.

By any chance was it James Earl Jones or Christopher Lee? Because that's who I heard.
