Photoshop CS6, if you can still get that...or a subscription to CS, if not.

Sounds like all you want to do is "rotate some stills" (like a "flipbook").
A WPF storyboard could do it (among other things).
(You can take multiple snaps; or just "morph" a single still into multiples using an editor).

Nope, That would be called a movie. That's not what cinemagraphs are like at all.

Thought you were going for the "effect" (in a windows app).
Didn't realize you actually wanted to post this stuff.

You can use GIMP for that purpose, and it works pretty much the same on Windoze, Mac or Linux.
Check this tutorial.

That might work. I'll check out the tutorial. Thanks!

I thought most cinemagraphs were GIFS.
Being that a Cinemagraph is a still image with a part of it moving.
So any gif maker will work. Its in the editing of the frames that were the work is.

|
|
|

Well, most cinemagraph editors will export the cinemagraph in GIF or mpeg video depending on your preferences.
I want a tool especially for making cinemagraphs, I'm not about to sit and edit each frame in an image editor.

Yes, I know it's early but it's now or never... things to do...
Two cars get confused and have a quiet accident (3, 5)
I can’t believe no one got this… I honestly thought it’d take 2 minutes, max. I suppose I’ll be in trouble now for providing a lousy clue...
Two cars = car car
Get confused = car cra
(Yes, “car” is an anagram of “car”, albeit the trivial case)
And have a quiet = add on a “sh”
And you get ... <drum roll="">
Car crash = an accident!
|
|
|
|
|
I quite like that. I was nowhere near it having got fixated on "ap" rather than "sh".
Still a shame that the answer wasn't "raw tacos", though - I thought that was pure genius!

Is it normal to have an over 10 C temperature change (up/down) overnight?
I can't recall it from decades before...

At first glance, I thought you were referring to body temperature, to which I would answer that it's perfectly normal . . . if you are dead.
You must, however, be referring to the street temperature - and such changes are, although not common, not rare, either. Actually, today, the AM temperature when I left for work (in the dark) was about 30F (-1 C). It is expected to be about 50F (10 C) by mid afternoon. Roughly the same yesterday.
So - no big deal.

It seems that the normal cooling/heating of the day-night-day cycle has no bad effect on me. What kills me is a sudden midnight wind-storm, that drops the temperatures in 5 minutes...

When I used to commute to work on a railroad, it was always very near dawn. Just a bit before sunrise there's usually a small increase in the wind and a rapid change in temperature. Probably a thermal wave produced by the oncoming warm air. Except, in the winter, it was unpleasantly cooler, and of course, with the breeze, that much more penetrating.
OK - suppose you don't go outdoors anymore. Will that help?

A few weeks back, a friend stopped at the grocery store on his way home. While inside, a rainstorm blew through. When he left the store, the temperature had dropped by 19 degrees F.

Yep, that is common here in the South. 10-20 degree changes from the storms.
