So, I'm supposed to be containerising our build system. One thing we hoped to achieve was containerising local builds to reduce machine set up and actually allow products we've released in different countries to diverge.
Unfortunately, we started with mobile apps, and have been forced to use Macs to be able to build to iOS devices. Turns out our OS overlords in their infinite wisdom have stopped mounting USB devices to the filesystem (/dev/bus/usb on ubuntu for example) and adb relies on this to get apks onto the device. Could've ditched a whole bunch of infrastructure on the host box otherwise, and even used and almost vanilla machine if they'd let docker run native (specifically for xcode). Not for the first time I wish I was on a linux box.

Was that intentional? This[^] is what you see when you google for 'Apfel', which of course means 'apple'.

It's just an anagram for Flapep. The rest of the responses are just being silly.

I am absolutely certain I don't want to live in a world in which you would never be offended.
