"and more"...after naming 3 of the 4 books.
This is like Gilligan's Island's "...and the rest" rather than "the Professor and Mary-Ann".

But they did fix that in later seasons.

Whoa, wait a minute...um I remember seeing those in re-runs see, I'm sure that's what it was.

Gilligan's Island predates me by a few years, but not that many. I did catch it in reruns.
I'm not sure why it's always used as an example of a bad sitcom nowadays. They've produced a lot worse since.

Anyone get the movie reference?

I see affection which leave "ta". Where is "ta" used for a short thank you? I've heard "ta" as a shorter "bye" over here in America, as in "ta-ta" but they were so cool they couldn't be bothered to pronounce two syllables.
I ask these questions to expand my understanding of the world.

Ta is used extensively in the UK for thank you - as in ta very much

As Pete says, Brit slang for thank you. Some dictionary sites say it originated in 18th Century England, imitative of baby talk.
Haven't heard it much recently, but it was used here (Australia) in the mid 20th C, often in a small shop sort of situation.
Ta-ta is still around as a childish goodbye.

“ta” is short for “Thanks A little” instead of “Thanks A lot”?
