There was a bit about the making of RESPECT in the documentary "Muscle Shoals". Don't know if it is still on NetFlix but definitely worth a look.

A few hours short of 27 years ago Wade Frankum wandered through Strathfield Plaza and shot up a bunch of people with an AK-47. A few hours less than 27 years ago I got married and still going.
It's about 00:15 and I'm going to wake the Missus and see if I can throw a leg over. Then I'll tell her she can get up at 04:45 and take me to the train station.
I had organised with her boss for her to have Friday off this week instead of Wednesday. She have to get all her plans sorted and her hair bedazzled (or what ever they do) by 12:00, cause then she has to drive in to my work at North Sydney cause I've booked a hotel for Friday and Saturday night near Chinatown.
Couldn't afford to do anything on our 25th and she gives it to me about it, so she better be happy with this.

It worked. Wish I knew what I did right this time though.

Mine and I had our 26th yesterday.
She cooked dinner then went to an orchestra rehearsal.
I forgot she was out and locked her out after I took out the trash.

That will teach her!
I have lived with several Zen masters - all of them were cats.
His last invention was an evil Lasagna. It didn't kill anyone, and it actually tasted pretty good.

Congrats on 26 years. Serves her right, she should have taken you out to the pub, not go watching violins and stuff.

Thanks. It was funny seeing the place lit up like a Christmas Treet at about 23:30 that night. The chauffeured car took the back way after the reception and we had no idea anything had gone on let alone a shooting.

We have our 22nd in a couple of weeks. We stopped doing anything other than cards many years ago and I even forget to do that sometimes. That gets painful, BTW, so I wouldn't recommend it.

Yes, easiest way to remember your anniversary is to forget it one year.
57 and counting.
If you can keep your head while those about you are losing theirs, perhaps you don't understand the situation.

Well done. I'd be 79 to get there and the old genetics ain't on my side. Now if I was a foot shorter and female no problem, Grandmother was a few days short of 92 and my Nan is 92 and still living at home by herself. Granfather 66, Pop 54 and Father 57, I'm going to beat them all cause I'm a competitive old lady parts but don't reckon 80 odd is a chance.

In that case, I'm going to live forever.

I forgot mine once too. Noticed that it was the day after and said "Happy Anniversary" to my wife. She said "Oh is it our anniversary?"
Dodged that bullet!
Coming up on 28 years in a few weeks - 6 of the happiest years of her life!
