Hi All,
Nightmare morning, woke up at 5:30 am thought 'oh good, I can turn off my alarm' turned said alarm(s),
sat on the edge of the bed at approx 5:35 am, woke up at 9:15 am, swore like a drunk marine. Got to work at 10:40 and due to a presentation I could 'swip in' until 11:05, , the dream of knocking off early on Friday is looking distant now...

A female friend of mine could - and often did - fall asleep standing up on a bus ...
Me? I have difficulty falling asleep in a nice warm bed.

When I'm late I make up for it by leaving early, it's simple mathematics:
-> Arrive 2 hours late = + 2 hours
-> Leave 2 hours early = - 2 hours
Nett result: 0
And then there's Fridays (well was like this when I was last f/t).
-- It's poets day, there is no reason not to leave early, it's proscribed thus.
-- If poets day is not observed in your area, then there is always the "I'm meeting someone outside."
I miss full time working .... not!
This internet thing is amazing! Letting people use it: worst idea ever!

Well no. If I arrive late, I leave early, so I can be early at home. Otherwise I am also late at home, and I would hate to be late twice in the same day.

I like your maths...2 Hours late (+2) leave 2 Hours early (-2) = 0

Pro Tip: place your alarm in a place you can't reach without getting up. Mine for example is right next to the bedroom door.
When it sounds I have to get off the bed, walk to the alarm clock and turn it off, while it wails incessantly. By that time I'm awake enough to not risk falling asleep again (unless very ill, it happened once and I had 40°C fever. Passed out until 2 PM).

There was a load of visitors by the door where the swipe point is (only use the swipe point for your unit as you will be logged into another unit, gives fire marshals a head ache if it's needed) nearly knocked out one guy as I opened the door with some haste. knows who they were, just in 'awe' of help desk manned 24 Hours a day, 365 days a year! So I didn't foul it up, it was fouled before I got there!

That sounds like me. I have fallen asleep while standing in queue as well. I have a gift. I can sleep anytime, anywhere and in any situation.
Think positive. Most people would leave early so you would have a quiet and empty office all to yourself. You can either write a good amount of code or make copies of your rear on copier machine.

Most people would, however it's getting toward the end of two major projects (one of which is a death march according to the project manager!), so I appear to work with workaholics & divorcees !
