When I was but a callow teenage boy, I had a saturday job in a lingerie shop: I will never forget it, or what I learned there!

It would appear that this won't be answered - a pity, for it was a good clue.

He looked more pale than blue. Actually they both do. If this is what a life of IT does to you, a weak flaccid body, no muscles, paper thin white skin, and dead at 65, I am going to have to retire soon!

This is another one of those instances where the conspiracy theorists get me to tune out.
When billionaires like Steve Jobs and Paul Allen die at a relatively young age from cancer like everybody else, there's no way "the pharmaceutical companies have the cure but it's being held back". They surely do a lot of evil things, but I'm not quite willing to go that far. Maybe I'm naïve, but extraordinary claims need extraordinary proof.
Soapbox material? I'm leaving it at that.

I suggested to a QA poster that he/she should check the documentation for some details about a class they were using. The response I got back was
Quote: What do you mean with "documentation"?

|

|
|
I have to agree with QA to an extent: until recently if you typed "controlname c#" into Google the top hit was MS documentation. And while that wasn't brilliant, it was what you needed. But now, MS is half way down at best, and page N at worst - and when you get there it's generally less clear. It's not always even obvious what framework the document covers...

MS is still at the top of the results list for me (I use duck duck go for search engine)

I just typed the interface name in question into google and the top four hits were MSDN pages directly referring to the subject. Although, I have had similar experiences to you. I think the sense of the OP's response was more along the lines of "what is documentation".

Possibly something to do with the move from MSDN to Docs.
