No, but it fixes those people that just does what everyone else does.
And the other ones will at least reduce their shopping speed considerably.

Getting exposed! haha
One of the senior managers (non-tech), I guess he never used video conferencing tools.
On the conference, his video was not seen.
When we said we couldnt see him. He kept saying "But I can see you"
He couldn't comprehend the idea, That it could just work one way.
The 3rd time he said "But I can see you", our CEO said "Man, call your son".
His son came and helped him switch on the video camera.

Now I understand why some companies are so reluctant about remote work policy.
Although sometimes I wonder whether video is that necessary of audio is just enough for a call

After the idiots decided that beaches, parks, and mountains would be great places to congregate en mass over the weekend, Boris has tightened up:
All shops other than food and pharmacies to close immediately.
People are allowed out to:
Shop for essentials, as infrequently as possible
Exercise outdoors once per day, alone or with household members
Receive medical treatment or provide care
Travel to and from work if impossible to work from home
No public gatherings of more then two people.
Mind you, the fine is only £30, so ... I expect a lot of self important idiots ignoring it ...

Here the fine is €135 when caught outside without proper reason (was €38 on the first confinement day; has been raised to €135 on second day). And on recidivism the fine goes up to €1500.

Never occured to me so far that there was another fellow French in the Lounge.

Are you allowed to gather together in such a large group of French people?

So if one more Frenchman joins this thread, you get a big fine?

Yes, I know you've been. But Phil sounds like that other guy at the pub, so you got virtually labeled "UK"...

Same here, in major parts of India.
Our food is taken care of, in terms of grocery stores being open. My concern is about our kitten's food supplies. These are only available in veterinary clinics; not sure whether they will be kept open.

How about boiled fish? Surely there must be something other than cat food he likes?

We are vegetarians, so no fish, meat at home in our cooking.
The only thing I get for our kitten is Catfood (salmon) from the Vet shop. I still have stocks for about 5/6 days, so we will figure out something by then.

Try calling your vet.
I think my vet is closed, but you can still get your cat's necessities on appointment.
They wouldn't let an animal die because of some lockdown, it's just the procedures that changed

Just got to know that catfood is available at the nearby medical shop. So, no issues - only that a different brand of catfood, different flavour.

Uh oh.
Good luck with that ... cats can be horribly fussy little monsters (and their tummies don't take well to a sudden change of brand: Changing your cat's food - PDSA[^] - ours tends to vomit copiously if we switch him too fast).

Good to know. Then I have to start gradually phasing in the new food from now itself.
Thanks for telling.
