I wonder if Chris should just make a script aimed at me... You know... Because he doesn't want to work as hard for something that happens all the time.

In your correspondence with Chris, I'll bet you've been talking to a bot for years now and just haven't realized it.

Any other sock-puppet accounts we need to be aware of?

Does it matter?
It's good advise in any case.

Not much, but since ZurdoDev and Slacker007 were two of the main accounts responsible for getting the Soapbox shut down due to their incessant trolling (in my memory - I may be wrong), it would be nice to know any other accounts connected to the same person that can just be ignored.

Agreed.

My account is not a sock puppet account and I have been a member for a very long time with no serious prior infractions, thus the 2 week ban and not a permanent ban.
Everyone got at each other's ego and feeling in the Soapbox, not just ZuroDev or myself. So, singling me out, is not fair at all for the closure of the SB. Many people were responsible for the SB closing.
And for the record, ZuroDev and I are not the same person/account holder. lol

I don't see a sign of a 2 week ban on your account. But I do see a sign of a ban on ZurdoDev's account for the exact reason you give as having been banned. If I am wrong, I am sorry, but those facts don't point to being wrong.

Temporary ban. You don't see a sign of a temporary ban unless you're an admin.

Also, ignoring them is what will frustrate them the most. It tells them that they are not important enough to for you to respond.
Just recognize them for the Darwin award candidate, metaphorically, that they are. Trolls get banded pretty quickly around here thanks to the fine work of all the members.

10 hours and no replies - is it working?
If you can't laugh at yourself - ask me and I will do it for you.

Well after school, for some of us.

Hi all,
I play an online game in which there is a lot of people working as a team.
There are a lot of tips and tricks that can't be explained easily through the ingame chat.
Some players use LINE, others use WhatsApp, others... and it is complicated to make all those tips easily available for all.
I don't know the players... so I don't know if a google drive link to a PDF file is a real option for all...
Would it be possible to get a domain for free, make a small web page that store the information and send them the link?
If you had to do this... how would you do it?
Thank you all!

There are lots of "free hosting services" most of which will register a domain for you also for free.
But ... you get what you pay for (or more usually less than you pay for); bandwidth, storage, even uptime are ... um ... generally poor, and tech support is often at a premium rate (Hey! They have to make money somewhere, right?)
Google will f9ind you lots, but this may help: The 7 Best Free Web Hosting Options in 2020 | hostingfacts.com[^]

Isn't there a forum where you can post them?
Post it on the (official) forum and then just give them the link to the forum post.

How about Blogger.com - google's blog building site?
You can get a URL and the ability to add pages super fast and free.
1. sign up
2. create your site
3. add the page of info you want to add.
4. share link
Then, later if you want to add a new entry it'll be easy.

For me it would depend on whether I wanted a static page that I maintain or an interactive page with discussion and commentary. For the former, I would go with a google-hosted page and for the latter I would find a blogging site. Google might have those too but I don't know.

I wouldn't recommend committing to a free web-site, because I've yet to see one that provides value for money (not a joke), but you can set up a a blog on wordpress.com or blogger.com for free, and they're both stable, useful platforms.
If you don't want the hassle of learning new tools that you won't use for any other purpose, though, you can do a docx (not doc) or pdf file, and share it through Dropbox.
