Wrong. Evidently OriginalGriff's cats found them to be delicious and nutritious, so they are indirectly useful to at least that subset of humanity that loves cats.
And more importantly, squirrel meat was the secret ingredient in a prize-winning chili at one Texas county fair!

But their squirrels, evidently, are tender!

It seems that it's pretty good meat, if a little "sparse" (which is understandable given the size of the whole animal): The ultimate ethical meal: a grey squirrel | Food | The Guardian[^]
Apparently, eating the brain is a no-no though - CJD prions have been found in their brains.

If you shouldn't eat their brains, what about their nuts?

That's a squirrel, isn't it?

Household plumbing and electric. Both are relatively easy as long as you pay attention and do the code research to ensure you're doing it right.

And research protectionism licensing to ensure that doing them won't land you in court.

To do your own toilette paper.
And leaving the jokes behind...
To learn by yourself, to think out of the box, to be curious about things, to be humble but to be confident, to think fast and to speak slow, to be nice, to think twice about something if you are not sure about it, to pay attention to the details...
And about coding skills... it doesn't matter that much. Whatever you want to do will be good, there is no saint grial and everything is good as long as you feel you can learn it correctly.

On a serious note, just in case you really are a newbie to the Interwebs: start by joining a discussion group (like this one) which matches up with the things you like (as you're a technical lead, CP is a reasonable bet, but there's something for everyone), and start talking to people.
Just remember to talk to people as if they were standing in front of you, and ignore people who don't return that courtesy.
And don't wait for permission to talk: we're all just faceless voices, so everyone is completely equal, with the same right to take part.
