Yes. Matrix/vector maths is known as linear algebra, so implicitly not suitable for nonlinear problems.

I was surprised yesterday by the lack of recognition of "i18n". I figured most CPers would have at least a vague notion of linear algebra being vectors, matrices etc.

I actually got this one rather quickly when I noticed that "ran online" could be anagrammed to something that included "linear". But it had already been solved while I was asleep.
