The device is great; it's the MS update (and verification) process. Obviously didn't test their changes on their own devices.

Along with a theme song, Microsoft's QA avatar should be the Steven King "It" clown. More synchronicity.

I had the same thing happen to me on my desktop machine.
Instead of doing what the prompts wanted me to do, I switched to Task Manager and just closed the offending process.
Heh heh, I'll bet they didn't expect me to do that!

Try explaining that to your typical technophobe.

I had no keyboard (tablet); and no task / tool bar; just some truncated text on a full-screen / background something. Only the power button worked. No other issues since I got it. Use it to test my UWP apps for adaptability. (Irony)

Ask the Coca-Cola(tm) company about their New Coke. If you're old enough to remember that. There's good reasons not to pretend it's the same product.

Is a book club just a novel tied to a stick?

Apologies in advance if I am asking something basic here. Does the above quote hints at book clubs are for old age people only?
If so, I am not too sure it fits into thought of the day as such for any reason to me.

"TotD" is a pun starter thread, not intended to be taken seriously.
It started out as a "daft question" daily, but the puns were preferred so I stick with that.
And no, I'm not going to try an explain a pun - jokes are bad enough!

At least they are all still alive, so we can hope they get back to together ... maybe we could ask Elvis to mediate with them?

I think you're thinking of a knitting circle; (computer) book clubs are for nerds / people of all ages.

We have a book club in our local branch library. It is so old that most of the original participants have dropped off the twig, or turned over a new leaf.
