You are right, we should not make fun of American people, especially in these hard times.
Wish the American people the best and that things may return to normal soon!

Really - it's part of a statistical inevitability (since people QC hasn't improved in scillions of years).
There's more crime. More bad drivers. There are more nuts. More crazy new 'customs'. More of everything that catches our attention.
Well - there's more people to do it/them. From each of our personal perspectives, things are "getting worse" - we cannot help but count events as we observe them (overtly count our just sense). The thing is, is it really worse on a percentage basis? Absolute numbers clearly on the rise. Relative - maybe. Also, current technology make it easy to report every incidence of everything pretty much as it happens.
Actually, even that doesn't cover the question. More wacko's cause more trigger events that possibly to propagate the incidences - this is only hypothetical as it may also be considered under the same considerations as the previous paragraph. I'm thinking of it in terms of "a bigger rock thrown into a bigger pond will have more observable ripples strong enough to interact with their surroundings"
Basically, and quite cynically, the growing depth of sewage in which we seem to be finding ourselves is a natural consequence of having more contributing to the waste-production process.

I think the idea is that it ruins the turkey so thoroughly that from that point on you can have something that tastes good instead. And doesn't try to set the whole house on fire[^] ... That's worth $100 to me, at least!
It's a pretty dull meat, after all.

We tried once to make a log fire in the living room, I think the $100 appliance is still a better trade.

When I'm at work, I'm in my home office, well separated from the rest of the house and on my own. It's when I'm not at work I need to be careful!

I've been noticing with greater regularity this abusive behavior by Yahoo, and I want to get around it.

Exactly. Yahoo Mail these days is everybody's throwaway account. You're not supposed to look at it so often that their ad blocker nag becomes an annoyance.

I'm pretty sure Yahoo sees your ad blocker as abusive behaviour.

My feeling is that if you use a site regularly, then whitelist it. Unless it's one of those greedy buggers with 20+ ads on it, so you can't see the content for the ads. In which case, stop using it! Sites have to make money - it costs to host them - so it's only fair that we accept some ads for a "free service": remember that if you aren't paying for a product, then you are the product being sold! But my default is "no ads" as too many devs are just too greedy.
There are a couple of sites that I decided I wanted to use and whitelisted - then deleted the bookmark, reinstated the blacklist, and never went back after I saw the ads ...

All browsers come with a built in add-in for this. It is a little button with label x.

Hi all!
I'm thinking on start using a password manager.
It starts to be super complicated to remember everything and I'm super tempted to start storing my passwords in text files...
This said,
1. Do you use them?
2. Do you trust them?
3. Which one do you use?
4. Why?
As always, thank you very much!
