I for one am glad to see the back of Donald Trump - you've been quiet on here of late - are you working on another article ?

I've been juggling some projects, plus my windows has been down. Getting a new PC tomorrow should fix that.

I am patiently waiting for the new Radeons to be available / a bit cheaper than launch prices to buy a new computer for me.

Yeah, I would wait if I were you. I couldn't because my current machine has serious problems and I can't afford to wipe it. I need to run two machines in tandem for awhile while I move things.
My machine is:
AMD Raedon 7 .. 4650? I think it's called. 8 cores.
32GB of RAM,
512GB NVMe primary storage,
2TB (IIRC) of HDD secondary storage that I'll wind up eventually replacing.
Currently onboard video, but it's probably good enough for me, esp since it's that APU powered mess. We'll see. If nothing else I'll buy a used vidcard for like $200 online
500W power supply, tower case, fan cooled
I paid about $1200 USD for it through Amazon, so it was pretty good deal I think.
The CPU benches @ 3rd place right now at the sites I've checked.

Oh you get sun where you are do you? Luxury!
(and I just got the point of this. It's been a tough day. All I can say is with one thing and another I'm going to have to find a real book to read given my jaw-dropping news reading days are now over)
cheers

Brighter indeed! Brilliantly put.
I can explain it too! But I would end up in the soap-box!

I am impressed by your knowledge of the comics ecosystem

My comics ecosystem was the Beano and old copies of Superman comics from the second hand book shop when I was a kid!
Oh, and 2000AD when that came out: "Y'know a kiss on the hand might be quite continental, man. But tactical thermonuclear weaponry is a guys best friend."

Dennis and Gnasher were in the Beano! (And the Bash St Kids, Roger the Dodger, Billy Whizz, ...)
The Dandy had Desperate Dan!

I see no Norse Gods around (other than Vidar, Vali, Baldur, Hodr, Modi, and Magni - and they emigrated to Florida, I think) so it's entirely possible!

It's here and it's Zig (ZigLang[^]).
If you didn't like Go and you hated Rust well, you're going to detest Zig.
But the dealio is that you can play this nice game in your browser all thanks to Zig (Oxid[^]).
Based Upon, which Was Based Upon...which was...
Oxid is an arcade-style game where you fight waves of monsters in a fixed-screen maze. This is more or less a clone of Verminian Trap (2013, Locomalito). Verminian Trap was originally inspired by Wizard of Wor (1980, Midway).
So, get your loathing powers fired up and start loathing Zig today.

I almost want to try it out, and be the zag to your zig!

Man, that brings back memories! First played it on my first PC (which I learned to program on), the venerable C64.

There's a few nice new languages that aim for simplicity (See also: Nim), but more and more I'm starting to think that Rust shouldn't be on any list of new languages that include Zig or Go.
Those are languages that aim to simplify programming; Rust resembles line-noise and looks more like Perl in some cases than anything else. We all know what happened to Perl.

It became one of the most popular language of all time so far and got to be so ubiquitous that no one notices it any more?
