tauroids
No, no. Those are the little bulgie things on my scanner cable.
If you can keep your head while those about you are losing theirs, perhaps you don't understand the situation.

Personally, I only accept the existence of Rodinia. All others are "johnny-come-lately" pale imitations of a real continent.

I think, as someone else mentioned, it's called Eurasia.
When I come to think of it, north America is the same continent as south America. Therefore, with the same logic: Stop calling it north America! Also, stop calling yourself American if you mean you are a usaian. Americans live in both us of a, Argentina, Brazil and all over that continent.
Oh, also - let me remind you. Usa is 5% of the world.
Let's divide! Let's hate each other!!! As much as we can! That way everyone can be happy.
War - it's fantastic!

War - it's fantastic! Secondly - you need to perhaps familiarize yourself a bit more with how the lounge works. What goes on here. Perhaps look at the topic options (News, Question, ..., Joke, Rant) and the comments icons recently added? We have discussions. We have debates. We have fun.
And if you step out of line again . . . .

The United States of America is referred to as America for the same reason United Mexican States / Estados Unidos Mexicanos is referred to as Mexico.

Yes, Europe and Asia are one continent, we all know that.
On the other hand... just the other day I watched a YouTube video which discussed continents and why Australia is a continent while Greenland isn't.
It concluded that the reason many people consider Europe and Asia to be different continents is due to cultural differences.

So Antartica is really just a strip of land going all about the outside edge to keep all the water in?

I mean, if that were true then we'd have Quebec as a separate continent. Also, Red States viz-a-viz Blue States. China vs. Russia?
We all know how that ends up.[^]

It's much older than that, Both "Asia" and "Europa" is old Greek and what the Greeks referred to as Asia is todays Anatolia.
Afrika is what the Romans called the land where the Carthagenes lived, which is todays Tunisia.
The meaning of the words have obviously changed since then.
The whole concept of continents is much newer than the names for them. Well, at least the ones mentioned above.

Yup, the ancients couldn't study the planet from space and didn't know about tectonic plates.

The theory of tectonic plates wasn't accepted until the 1960s. And even though he couldn't look at the Earth from space, Eratosthenes accurately calculated its circumference.
