Most of the people I know have had the Pifzer, I wonder if there's more of it in the UK compared to Astra?
|
|

Yes, that's what we had. I think it was due to the government ordering lots of it in good time. Nice to see them (actually the Civil Service) getting something right.

(In UK) - everyone I know who's been jabbed has been Astrazeneca. Maybe depends on location.

Had my first jab last Friday.

Sorry, bit random, looked at your profile to see what side of the pond you were, ArcommIT related to Arcomm which made SBC and were bought up and out 4 to 6 years ago?

No, ArcomIT were a small IT support company in Guildford, which merged with Trinet Ltd. They still exist, and are now based in Woking.

Hadn't you both had the virus already? Isn't counts as vaccination?

The vaccine is a myth. I've been trying to get it for my 83 year old mother since it became available, and no can do. No reservations are ever open at any of the vaccination sites.
I even asked one pharmacist "who do I have to bribe with money, drugs, or a good hearty to get the lady a shot?"

It probably depends on your location. Here in Florida the population 65 and older were the highest priority after healthcare workers. I managed to get appointments a month ago for us, but admittedly I had to keep clicking the "make appointment" button a few dozen times, as the website was overwhelmed.
Best of luck to you.

Pfizer, first shot eight days ago - Mrs. had Moderna.
It seems that if you go to a more ad-hoc facility (hers was a high school) then you get Moderna and if you go to someplace "substantial", medically, you get Pfizer. Likely storage based.
Also, some government-built-in-place super-centers (sounds like a mall) they often get the extra-cold storage equipment. Near here (Jones Beach parking lot, where I could not get an appointment) they have Pfizer.
It's nice to know the deadly danger part is all but gone (mutations notwithstanding). Serious immunity in effect before spring arrives.

I'd rather die than get the vaccine. (The irony is pretty thick in that statement.)

I didn't want it John but the only way that the UK will ease the lockdown is by the majority accepting it. Vaccine won't stop people dying anyway.
