Now what ?
Canada, Germany, Switzerland, Newfoundland ....
Take care also on wiki and _always_ compare as much sources you can

That's tame compared to some of the nonsense on there.

Wikipedia.com The Newfoundland (and Landseer) are descended from dogs used by fishermen in the Newfoundland and Labrador region of Canada.
Wikipedia.de Der unmittelbar feststellbare Ursprung der Rasse sind Hunde, die von britischen Fischern aus Neufundland nach England gebracht wurden.
The origin and where they did the breeding to create a new breed does not have to be the same.

Even if you master another language only partially, checking the wikipedia entry in that language may be worth its time. Often you will see "correct" and "true" statements in two different versions, of the kind "The glass is half empty already" versus "The glass is still half full". You learn something about the arguments from each side, which may be enlightening to understand the complete picture.

I know there is a lot of controversy about the number 13. And no 13th floor, I am led to believe, nowhere in America.
Still, I have been suffering from chronic illness all my life. Turns out, I learned in 2009, 13 years ago, that all the pain I endure is mostly caused by food. Though the specific triggers were still nebulous, turns out I got a lot of allergies: celiac/gluten, egg, many vegetables...
And, apart from the gluten, I had to discover them all by myself (I tried many doctor but they couldn't help).
Anyway I think I nailed it and since last December life has been mostly good. Finally. After such a long time. Yoooooo hoooooo!

My birthdate is on a 13. I'm still trying to decide whether I'm more or less lucky than the average person who was not born on a 13.

Well... at least, it was a lucky day for ya!

My daughter was born on Friday the 13th (supposedly a very unlucky day) and since then 13 has had good connotations for me.

Do you think I can risk to drink the 13'th beer?

|
|
Definitely!
Stopping at 12 might cause you a hangover. Do you want to risk it?!

Friend, consider move to China.
People there like 13, but some of them are afraid to see 4, 14, 24... Thus there may not be the 4th or 14th floor in a hotel.

My man is also allergic to a ton of stuff. Peaches and melons can kill him. I'm glad for you, that the initiative you took with your diet paid off. That's great news!

I like 13.
My Mother-in-Law was very, VERY superstitious. Hated 13. Avoided it like the plague.
I now live in House Number 13. Very, very few visits from the M-in-L and when she did visit she didn't stay long at all. Happy Days!
Glad you've finally nailed the allergies

I hazard to guess that your in-laws don't meddle in your affairs too much, and this is why you get along with them. I know for most in-law stress, it is because the MIL is a meddler, among other things. Interestingly enough, the MIL is the main antagonist, not the FIL, as one might think. The FIL usually goes along with what the MIL does because he doesn't want his sex life to end.
Those who have a good relationship with their in-laws ARE truly blessed.

My MIL is something of a meddler, but I think she realizes she is, so she keeps herself from getting too overbearing.
