It really is that good.
1 Box Rainbow Rotini, boiled, drained and cooled. I boil it with olive oil and salt.
1/4 of a red onion, sliced thinly into rings, then rings quartered, like for a salad
a few heaping tablespoons of kalamata olives (to taste)
1 jar of artichoke hearts marinated in oil, sliced diagonally once.
1/2 package of surimi, mildly shredded. DO NOT USE REAL CRAB. It will overpower everything
1 medium container of Feta
3 each of red, yellow and orange mini peppers, sliced into rings.
A couple of splashes of fancy italian dressing, to taste, but not too much - just enough to get the cheese to stick to the noodles.
Mix it all together in a huge bowl. Make your neighbors jealous by bringing it over once and never sharing the recipe.
To err is human. Fortune favors the monsters.

I do love recipes
What is rainbow rotini? Ah, colored macaroni; you don't boil those with olive oil. You need no oil to cook pasta.
honey the codewitch wrote: a few heaping tablespoons of kalamata olives (to taste) Olives, yuck. So no regular olives? I read they meaty, so I'll switch this to cheap mushrooms, oven dried.
honey the codewitch wrote: 1 jar of artichoke hearts marinated in oil, sliced diagonally once. I've never had artichoke, nor ever a veggie heart. My local supermarket also not that fancy.
Wikipedia states on artichoke: Once the buds bloom, the structure changes to a coarse, barely edible form

honey the codewitch wrote: 1 medium container of Feta Works amazingly well in salads.
honey the codewitch wrote: 3 each of red, yellow and orange mini peppers, sliced into rings. Does your stomach see colors? Colored pasta, colored peppers.. Replaced with jalapeno's from glass.
honey the codewitch wrote: A couple of splashes of fancy italian dressing You mean olive oil?
I assume the pasta is mixed cold with these ingredients?
The Dutch version;
- cheap macaroni
- spam, diced
- gurkins, diced
- union, whole, diced
- pea's (undiced)
- mayonaisse
If it tastes cheap, it is because it is cheap. I bet you can't find a Dutch restaurant anywhere

There are.
They serve french fries and schnitzel.
..but eat local, you get potatoes with sauerkraut. And, required, a sausage.

Even simpler Dutch version:
Macaroni
Peanut sauce
Wash it down with a large glass of milk.

No. No, you don't.
First, you have macaroni. And you live in the land of cheese?

Mac and cheese.
And coffee, not milk; I'm not a kid :/

I live in left pond, but I had plain macaroni with peanut sauce at a large companyβs cafeteria in Groningen.
It was similar to a cold noodle with peanut sauce that I have at a local Chinese restaurant.
I did appreciate the licorice(drop?) selection in the vending machine. Most of the licorice I eat is imported from Australia because I have a choice of one brand only.π
