I was thinking of another word, but I wasn't sure how to spell it.
Looked it up on Google Translate, which said "did you mean [answer]?"
Well, OK then

Just got some new glasses. One pair for every day, and one pair for use at the computer. The "computer glasses" have a focal point that's about at arms length. What a huge difference! It's like wearing a pair of magnifying glasses. They also have a coating that's supposed to help filter blue light, so maybe they'll help reduce fatigue. If you're like me, pushing on into your 7th decade and having to squint now and then at the screen, maybe a pair of dedicated "computer glasses" will do the trick!

I had my eyes lasered in 15 years ago to remove my myopic glasses, so far I still have the 105% I got back after the operation...
I will very, very probably (almost for sure) end having glasses for near distances (PC, read and so on) but I will embrace them after all these years without wearing anything else but sunglasses at will.

Same here, I had an 18-year run before needing glasses again. In my case, arm's length didn't do the job so had them redone so the focal point (if that's what it's called) is further away. They're okay for reading something on printed paper, help a bit for the computer, but make things worse for things that are farther away.
I'm guessing I need a separate pair for distance, as that is also not as great as it used to be.

Varifocals. Best of all worlds, provided you don't have to do close up work above your head ...
I used to have three pairs: walk-about, reading, computer - but I was forever wearing the wrong ones, and when driving I could see road signs clearly, but not the instruments. Varifocals fixed both of those problems.

That's what I have

I have been wearing varifocals for years, so I can see close up, computer screen and distance without difficulty. i do have a pair of reading glasses for reading in bed, as my eyes are usually tired by then.

Good show. I had cataracts removed. Installed close up lens for left eye, distance lens for right eye. (no lenses for other eyes).
Wear glasses for driving car (distance lens for left eye, plain for right. Do have computer glasses but don't use them all that much.
Glasses free 90% of the time. Life is good.

I like glasses, but with my eye sight, they are becoming a burden (even with really thin lenses $$$ ).
I am/was planning to get my eyes "lasered" (actually, not lasered but something akin to cataract surgery), but something else came out.
Maybe next year.
