I am not getting the usual banners with ads, not sure if it is due to a problem in the server, on my side or really due to switched off ads.

Yep, count me in.
Set up a new User Group for setters - they ask to join you and get accepted.
That gives you both a forum to formalize the rota, and a pool of users to call on.
