There is to be an election, Dave is hoping that his party* will elect him to stand in the election. He is telling us that his party has just him to choose from, but he must still win an election before he can take up the seat.
The electorate will then vote for him or someone else, they will not be voting (directly) for a party. And should whoever wins step down or die before the next election then no-one can be appointed to that seat by the party who previously won, there will have to be another election.
*(whichever party it is, he was Tory but after they refused to select him as a potential parliamentary candidate he was threatening to defect to UKIP to get a shot)

See Here For Rumours[^]
What is great is that it is coming out just as I reach my contract end and am due an upgrade.
Looks like I will be getting my grubby little protuberances on this beastie just as it is released!
Can't wait.
I do hope it will be Android and not an in-house OS.
I shall be in full Swank Mode!

Ooh drool, techno lust...
I really like my S4 - I have not yet been able to persuade myself yet to get an iPhone despite desperately trying to convince myself that I need one.
My S2 has been consigned to being used as a dashboard camera - it may come in use one day given what I would say is the 0.25% of numpty road users.

Anyone want to see the HTML5 canvas magic I come up with at 3 in the morning?
Magik Canvas[^]
It's actually a crazy idea behind the code. I created a Javascript Thread Pool and off screen canvas to load into web workers. It can paint and count pretty damn fast. Once I am done, I will write an article about it.

From here it looks like an HTML5 display of your signature.

After certain count it stopped the painting.

Yea, its a test to see how long it takes to paint 1024 off screen objects while counting in separate thread

That explains.
But painting stopped at around 600.

Why did the counter stop at 5,345,323?

very cool...
I would also call it the CPU cooler. When it was running (before reaching it's completion) I could see the CPU utilization get pegged and then the fan kicked on.
you want something inspirational??

Yea I was having threading issues. I need to make one thread for running the callbacks from all the other threads. I only have it at 4 separate threads. Imagine if i filled the pools with threads, probably blow your computer up. lol

"At 8am on 17 September 2008, to the surprise of John Humphrys, the day's main presenter on the Today programme, and Johnnie Walker, who was standing in for Terry Wogan on Radio 2, the pips went adrift by 6 seconds, and broadcast seven pips rather than six. This was traced to a problem with the pip generator, which was 'repaired' by switching it off and on again."

A disappointingly mundane explanation, I'd much prefer if it had been some coded message to a deeply embedded super agent working to protect us against an evil criminal mastermind (hollowed-out volcano optional).
