I would call it opportunity ! Opportunity to indulge in to serious programming without worrying about interruption and useless meetings.
Though only if as OG said its not public holiday which is not in India in my knowledge.

If I am not wrong (might be a false friend with spanish), to take a sabbatical is to have some time without a job, a kind of volunteer unpaid holidays where you can improve skills, do private things and so on... that if you were working, you would not have the time to do
