It saves you maybe three clicks and the typing of a password.
You have to balance that immense amount of work against potential security risks, and make a decision.

But I am glad you mentioned it !

When the competitors arrange a "sit-down-strike" because drug testing is going to involved in future, you know the sport is rife with it. And I suspect that the situation hasn't changed that much - if Armstrong could escape detection for that long then you can bet he isn't the only one...

And other sports ? C'mon chaps lets not be myopic , drugs are going to follow the money . Not arguing that cycling is clean , just that wendyball , rugby , golf , American rugby , American rounders and lets throw the ball in the hoop are all rife with it too.

Cycling (and Athletics) are rife with it because they are heavily weighted towards strength and stamina rather than skill compared too other sports, and you can get strength and stamina from drugs, but they don't do skill. I know there is a certain amount of skill involved in cycling but at the end of the day, the person who can rotate those pedals the fastest for the longest time is going to win. Drugs can help you do that.
In Football say, you only have to last 90 mins, this is easy to do without drugs. Drugs might give you a slight advantage in giving you better stamina meaning you've got a bit more energy than you might have towards the end of the game, but it aint going to help you put the ball in the net. I'm guessing the amount of participants for the World Cup is about the same as the Tour De France, there will be more drug cheats at the latter.
BTW you missed Tennis, Rafeal Nadal is the biggest cheat out there. That guy is so obviously on drugs it's ridiculous.

Also for succesful and detection free doping you need a lot of money and a lot of time and dedication.
Footballers might have lots of money, but they prefer spending it in something flashier than a chemist.
Performance enhancing drugs are far more likely in individual sports, because it is just you who will make it to the top or not.
I am surprised more footballers don't fail recreational drugs tests.

Drugs can help in many ways not just stamina . Golfists would benefit from drugs that keep them calm , anyone who takes part in regular exercise would benefit from being able to recover better to train more frequently ( even if it is just to improve their skills) . Even 90 minutes is enough to get a fall off in performance . Drugs would help people perform as well in the last few minutes as the first few . ( Some football teams seem to repeatedly get victories in the last few minutes ?) . Its true drugs will not materially change your skill levels they wont make your Sunday league footballer into a Messi . But at the top end of the sport where the guys are very close on ability anything that gets you a few percentage points advantage is going to be taken ( by some) , especially when there are pornographic amounts of money involved.

Being shared on my Facebook feed at the moment is a missing persons plea from someone in the town nearest to where I live;
Missing since..., last seen at..., wearing a camouflage jacket...
Hang on, are you sure he's actually missing, not just stood in the garden and you cannot see him or something?
Must. Not. Comment.
