Its a good theory, guess that guy gets the credit, wasn't aware that he beat me to the punch.
Like my mom always says (yes I just said that ) If it's an amazing idea someone's probably already thought of it.

Even number are flops so I guess they see this version as another in the ME, Vista or WIndow 8.n series of losers?

Wow. They learned NOTHING.
Same silly tiles.
If it's not broken, fix it until it is

In fact they learned - those tiles moved to a much better place...

Thanks Pete am downloading the Tech. Preview now. Just viewing the video I don't see a revolutionary release that would make me want to leave Windows 7 but will see.

I am not a "tech enthusiast." I'm a well-paid consultant, and if Microsoft wants my feedback (other than I think the W8 / tile whole look is a major step backwards), they can damn well pay me to try their "not everything is working" software. Besides which, nobody listens to free advice. If they pay $250/hr for advice, then there's a better chance that they'll listen.
[edit]Ironically, the fact that Store apps are now sizeable, the start menu has returned, and W10 seems to have a more more sophisticated "snap" feature (but still limited to only 4 apps? Come on, there must be a third party plug-in that does much better) and additional desktops (stolen from the Mac, *nix, and 3rd party) does make is more interesting to me. As to "live" tiles, I still hate them. As to multitasking, someone should tell Microsoft that multitasking shrinks your brain. [/edit]

That is how I am feeling about frackin web service frackin development using frackin WfrackinCfrackinF.
Why all the fugging magic config? I have tried my mightiest to find in ONE FRACKIN place an explaination of what goes where. It is all over the frackin place.
MSDN? Mostly Satanic Deathly Nonsense!
I am not a happy camper. I am not.

I feel your pain. It's grim. But, once you've got it right you just never go near it again and it's pretty straight forward from there.

Rob Philpott.

I suspect you're doing it wrong. If you are trying to run a Web Service through IIS then you have brought the problems upon yourself.

I gave up WCF for the EXACT same reasons.
The code behind it all is stupid simple. The config is a total nightmare.
I now use ASP.Net Web API's. Very easy to set up, add to, and maintain.
If it's not broken, fix it until it is
