Perhaps you just need a programing language with layman's syntax:

...has any body seen Mi KeHunt?
Just rang the insurance mob cause the car runs out of registration in 12 minutes and I need over priced private Compulsory Third Party insurance as part of it.
The pucking wankers close their phone service at 22:00. Don't these bell ends understand that there are people in third world countries that will work around the clock so people like me can call after they have finished work. Now I have to wait until 07:00 to call up again and tell some twat they are a Mike Hunt. Then I have to hope to get them to give it to me quickly and for closer to $500.00 and not the $889.49 their stupid online quote site provided. I mean I then have to pay anoth $339.00 on top for the registration part. Compehensive insurance is another $800.00+ per year.
Bought the car for $5,000.00 and pay close to $2,000.00 per year every year just top be able to drive it. That don't include mainenance or running costs (Can anyone say more than $4,000.00 per year in petrol and it's only a 2.5l engine).
I'm not sure how I am going to manage to have 2 cars insured with 2 different insurance companies in another 30 years and drive both in to 20+ luxury cars and write them off so I screw said companies over and feel like I have almost broken even with them on costs.

You lost me around pucking wankers, but I take it you're upset?

ONLY 2,5l? Maybe that's the problem in the first place?

Insurance is always a rip off, but be thankful you aren't young: the average cost in the UK for a 17 year old on a small, slow heap is £1096 per year - rising a LOT if you live in an awkward location or get any speeding or similar offences...that's AUS$ 2019 just for the basic insurance...on top of that is road tax and such like.

To insure both cars cost less than £800 for fully comp.
|
|
|
|
|
Mine works out at £201.39 fully comp, with protected no-claims (9 years - before that it was all motorcycle insurance and they wouldn't transfer the no claims years from that).

I'm Italian, I have a 0.9L car, I have inherited the best merit rank (It grows better each year without collisions, there are 18 of them and the 1st is the cheapest - means you drive since 20 years without collisions) from my parents thanks to a pretty new law AND I pay 500 € (roughly 750$) a year.
AND gasoline costs 1.6 € (approx 2,5 $) per liter. Plus, my 14-years-old car costs no less than 2500 €, so approximately 3800$.
Yes, I know something... and as a programmer my wage is about 1800$/month...

I live in Poland and pay <$700/year for full insurance (including Auto Casco - full refund even if car is stolen or trashed because of my fault), just after two years of owning a car (8yrs, 1.3d).
You can buy a compulsory insurance for less than $200/year if you have good insurance merit.
Gasoline - $1.6/l
Average wage: ~$1200/month (~$1600/month for programmers)
Anyone to beat that?

I forgot to say, mine is compulsory AND the lowest possible price, no extras, with the cheapest insurance. Plus we have to pay 120$/year as "bollo auto", alias the "owning tax"!
We're almost neighbours though!

In the UK, you would pay through the nose for that in Income Tax!

I pay income tax of course, but that much less (about 1/7th) of the money I would spend on it on my own...

Sure can. I ride my bicycle to/from work year round. Gas cost $0/yr. Comprehensive Insurance $0/yr. Health benefits $priceless.

Reminds me of when Trans Ams first came out. I liked the look, didn't even think of the power involved and I was a 16 year old who should have been blinded by that. The insurance company got that idea out of my head when 1 year's insurance would be 1.2 times the cost of the car. Just as well, I needed that money to get through university training.
