Latest End User Story:
Had a user who wanted to confirm a change to a benefits setting in human resources. I suggested that she go to the human resources site, look up the contact information there, and then send them an email.
She wanted to know where to do that and started to look for a way to connect to a website in Outlook.
The sad part is that she has one of those light weight LCD monitors which means I couldn't toss it through the 3rd story window and throw myself to certain death - no, I had to stand there and break out in a cold sweat, worrying about humanity.
I miss those old CRT monitors.
Now if you want to commit suicide by jumping out a window you have to throw yourself against the window repeatedly - you'll bruise yourself and throw out your arm but you'll never get through it.

That's a point: can you still add web-sites to the "active desktop"?
What a complete waste of development time that was -- although nowadays, with web-apps abounding, I suppose it might have some small use.

The thing I loved about CRT's was the possibility that some kind hardware soul just might give me the capability of connecting the high voltage supply in the CRT directly to the keyboard, under software control.

I'm struggling with some of the formatting issues, like how this example site[^] ends up totally hiding the sidebar and changing the menu to a drop-down icon, as I would like to do the same on this site I'm developing.[^].
This is NOT an attempt to get someone to answer a "programming" question!

Look at the demo site and you will notice there are various media sections with min-width attributes defined in the dashboard.css file, and in each section various definitions for the same thing;
e.g. for sidebar class
