Awesome, I guess the US has given up on all space research?

Economically speaking, we're on the road to 3rd world status. So, you know, there's that to deal with.

The country that I fought for and my buddies died for is gone. It has been taken from us piece by piece in a coordinated effort by those that worship money and power.

I think it's all about control: the rest comes as a bonus.

I disagree: they know the cost of everything, and the value of nothing.

Man this is so true it's unreal. Ironically, if we don't stop it we're gonna fall the same way great empires did in history. It always repeats because people don't want to learn from past mistakes.

The worst of it is that there's no evil involved, per se; it's just people behaving like people, so we're always bound to fail.

Absolutely agree with that man. Although I'd like to think of it as we have to learn things to hard way rather than failing, and sometimes it just takes us a lot of tries. Yay humanity!

Yes, but no matter what percentage of people learn that they're going to die anyway, so they might as well make their own lives (and everyone else's) more bearable by behaving decently, there will still be a percentage that doesn't -- and, as history has shown time and time again, it only takes a tiny percentage to **** up the entire world.
These days, a large proportion of the financial sector resides in that small percentage.
