I like to ask the unobvious question.
Does the 46 part really matter?
I'm thinking the part that matters is the DD!!!
But, I guess that's because I understand how these type of things are properly measured.

This is the right question.
No, of course it doesn't. It's just another shining example of Faux News' reporting.
Imagine how much software would even compile if journalists wrote it.. never-mind how much of it would actually be useful once it passed this first hurdle.

I shudder to think. Absolutely shudder.

Well in JavaScript it would compile, when run it would just create a shitload of useless globals, but it would compile.

I just backed this campaign[^]. $350K budget for a movie is like almost shoestring. So please do the needful if you can.
I was trying not to prepare anything. I didn’t want to prepare what I was going to say to you. Why? Because I am searching for my inner truth, I want to know what will I say. In two more days I will be 86 years old… it’s a lot. Why, at 86 years of age, am I fighting to make a picture? ....

He has no financial backing, so he is asking the internets? Interesting. Why, does he have no financial backing? because his new movie sucks? I don't know.

But this guy making a movie(2nd part) based on his autobiography book. His movies're unique IMO. I have watched Eltopo, Saint's blood long time ago & both're amazing & weird.
Slacker007 wrote: because his new movie sucks? I don't know. His last movie The Dance of Reality[^] has 93% on rottontomatoes. And the documentary movie about his failed attempt on dune, Jodorowsky's Dune[^] has 98% on rottontomatoes. Here the text version[^] of that documentary.
Hollywood celebrity Zack braff raised over $3 million[^] for his movie using the same way. But this guy asking for just 1/10 of that money.

Looks like a family venture.
Three Jodorowskys in the cast.

Nope. They're just saving the salary of 3 cast members(You have to pay if you hire 3 actors from anywhere).
BFN, going for office

You mean they will not get paid, will work for free?
Someone has to pay them for their work, isn't it? They, being young(er), will have their own occupations, and need to take time off those occupations to work for this movie, isn't it? (I hope they are not unemployed )
One more thing, what is their motivation to work for free? A dream that their movie will become a grand success at the box office?

I was talking about those Three Jodorowskys as you mentioned. Would you ask your father for salary if he makes a movie with casting you? No, right? So the young Jodorowskys.

I am also talking of the same three people. IMHO, they have to get paid.

Yes. Would certainly ask.

One more thing. From that website, I quote: 'Our world is suffering from a devastating absence of poetry.'
Not sure what the basis for this statement is. And what does he mean by 'Our world'. Certainly does not include India.
Take my own language - Kannada. Poetry is being created everyday - look at recent magazines and you'll exquisite poetry. Not to mention the poetry already existing from more than 1000 years. Same with all other languages in India, I feel - there is no dearth of poetic creativity in our country in particular, and the world in general.
Lyrics of all our movie songs are indeed poems; agree that their quality is not as it was earlier. However, we do find beautiful poetic expression in some recent songs too.
Maybe, he has a different connotation for the word 'poetry'.

IMO there they meant Art[^]. There's a film genre[^]
He's an experimental, surreal artist who wants to make an unique movie, visually stunning one.
Nowadays half of the movies suck badly. You could find some in Golden razzies. Mostly commercial garbage & with full of tiring CG. Notable examples : Transformers & Twilight series.

...Should not be taken lightly. My back has been hurting for over a week now.
I replaced my chair last weekend and it seems to be getting better.
This isn't the first time I've had job related back issues either.
For all of those that think I must be an old geezer, I'm 27.
Let this be a warning to all you young people out there who are just starting their job at the office (or a reminder for those who've worked there for a while)...
Get a good chair and a well adjusted desk.
Unlike your software your body doesn't have a backup!

I'd farther recommend some sort of exercise, even taking a long walk at lunch. Your body is made to be moving. Sitting all day (even in a good chair) will leave aches and pains eventually.
I learned this at the ripe 'old' age of 30.
