What a load of crap. Get real. Try thinking and acting like an engineer instead.

I quite like the lounge as a place we can put that thinking and acting like engineers crap aside and just chill.

soggy bread on what was supposed to be a perfect Italian-mix sub or soggy bacon.
I can forgive the soggy bread, I think, but I can't forgive someone who cooks up soggy bacon. The horror.

Soggy bread is far worst, it may ruin the taste of some perfect prosciutto crudo (which I very much prefer to bacon).

Speaking of ham and bacon now I have a craving for Speck (the Italian one) and Brie... and a rising hunger.

Or sun dried tomatoes - Bacon, a good runny Brie, and sun dried tomatoes makes a very pleasant summer lunch.

Oh yes, I often make it during summer - along with some mushrooms and bread. Delightful!

Well here in the States, where some of us don't know any better....
Genoa Salami (lots of this for me), spicy pepperoni, provolone, oil and vinegar. I like sliced pepperoncinis on mine, with shredded lettuce and thin sliced onion. If i have the option to add prosciutto, i will.
As for bread, a seasoned sub roll with Asiago cheese on it is nice, but fresh sub roll will do, of course.
Edit: forgot the bacon. If the deli has crisp bacon, I will add this as well.

I see you're pretty fond of Italian cuisine and I totally agree that this is a good Italian mix. I often made similar mixes, given that I prefer avoiding spicy pepperonis when I have good salami or asiago - covering their taste is criminal!

Seems these days if you want your software to talk to the outside world, all you have to work with is the virual USB<->Serial and USB<->Parallel devices. Especially in laptops. Someone in their wisdom thought that these devices are a suitable replacement for "real" ports. (ie UARTS and parallel i/o chips). You have to rely on the bulky overhead and often buggy device divers. In reality they lack performace and versatility.
Bring back the serial port. Anyone with me!

That's why you should dump serial devices altogether.

In contrary to a handful of hardware registers in a UART or PIO. I could write drivers for them while sleeping (and wake up in the morning, looking for the elves who did this).

As anybody who wanted a faster floppy drive on a C64 or Atari 400/800 would have been able to tell us. Why should the hardware guys stop making the same mistakes all over again when the software guys also keep bringing back yesterday's mistakes?
