Just as a data point - I have not been experiencing these problems (and have been a member since 2002) & mostly use CP with IE11 on Windows 8.1 desktop. Good luck!

Did anyone upgrade their Windows 7 instance to Windows 10?
I get a button "Get Windows 10" and am not sure if I should press it.
So should I take the red pill, or the blue one ?
Any experience anyone?

It doesn't do it yet: it just "reserves you a copy", which it will download automatically when it comes out at the end of next month. It will then ask you to install it at "a time convenient to you", apparently.
Clicking it is safe, but it doesn't get rid of the icon...
Bad command or file name. Bad, bad command! Sit! Stay! Staaaay...

Alex: Fix it? How you gonna fix this?

For me the prompt came to reserve a free upgrade. It will be available at least in Germany from July 29.

There is no Windows 10 update until 29 July...
Microsoft decided to remind you that there is an awesome new operating system in the making

I will never upgrade Windows 7 to Windows 10 as I use Windows 8.1
But yeah my answer is pretty much the same as anyone else's. I have reserved the upgrade - will see what happens when it comes out.
I'm considering using an instance of Windows in a virtual machine and testing it there, just in case

I got that button yesterday on my lab PC (win8.1), but (1) I didn't reserved the upgrade yet, and (2) I don't think to upgrade on THAT PC: I need it for my job.
In the past, I made two Win7-to-Win8 upgrades (not free, BTW), and on both the PCs the result were pretty unstable. Some of the personal folders got semitransparent, and by clicking on them a strange "the folder does not exist" message pops up all the times.
Moreover, none of those two PCs were (still are) able to install the 8.1 upgrade.
I'll try Win10 on a secondary PC (maybe at home), or on a clean installation only.
My suggestion is...to wait!

Yep. Best avoided.

My wife did but she is using Win 8.1
I'll probably stick with windows 7 for a long time unless there are some fancy feature I must have or major performance gain.

Never "upgrade"; always start with a clean disk.
I dabbled with a CTP of Win 10 in January. It seemed a lot like 7. I might switch to it in a few years.

A bit early (and an easy one) I know, but here it is:
Remove underpants so that the government probes you! (8)
And oh, I almost forgot, those morons have implemented a new policy and have started blocking everything that is delivered from a CDN. So, that means scripts, images, etc from Cloudfront and DeveloperMedia are blocked now. You can easily guess what layout of CP (and almost every site I visit) I am currently seeing now. Oh yay!!

I am sorry, but are you implying "Vaseline" as the answer?
If you are, it's incorrect.

Why not Government? It has to be someone to whom you are required to report! In professional clues you'd probably be required to indicate that Government was an example by inserting a 'say' or a 'perhaps' but if there's one thing WSOCCC ain't .... !
