Well...quite a few, but some I just collected over the years...
Bad command or file name. Bad, bad command! Sit! Stay! Staaaay...

You got to write it like this
if(this.signature != ""){
MessageBox.Show("This is my signature: " + Environment.NewLine + signature);
}
else {
MessageBox.Show("404-Signature not found");
}
Drop the "this." and i want to see System.windows.forms.Messagebox.show
Microsoft needs to stop telling people how to paint a picture and let the artist just get on with it, who cares if it can be read and the above code is just on two line, MS butt out and take you religious "Beleivers" with you.

Wouldn't work: C# is case sensitive.

You see this happens when i leave my inteliscence turned off
I'm going back to VB if they don't fix it soon
I know one thing, MS can keep its F# with it's LET statements, took year to get me off that one.

interesting point but no... i'll prefer leaving it broke

And good for you too.
I cannot stand novices who think they know it all and try to tell me that i should be using string.empty and not ""
pisses me off

Well i code like i want to, you know, i don't code for anyone but me. If someone doesn't like my style... well bye

I am with you 100% and the last time i worked on a project where they kept baning on about coding standards, well the job was over engineered and after 2 years a $3m project got thrown in the bin.
This little baby ended up as 12 solutions, not projects, solutions and it took a day of hacking the registry just so you could run a copy on your own PC.
Programing if you are good is an art and not a science.

My nice burr grinder broke some months back and I have been using a yucky rotary blade jobby since. Well not any more!
I took the plunge and dismantled the grinder using cut up bits of offcut plastic to act as mini-leavers to hold the panels apart so I could separate them; usually design of easy to assemble but f'awful to take apart.
The problem was with the switch or, to be precise, the button that activates the switch. I removed said button and repaired the broken mechanism using glue and odd bits of plastic to strengthen the cheaply made and badly designed button.
Re-assembled, plugged in, filled up and *wizzzzzzz* I have top quality coffee properly ground and passing through my poor body.

Are you allowed to fix things these days? I thought it was compulsory to ask why it doesn't work in QA and then get someone to buy you a new one?

Last time I asked anything in QA, I was told that I must be a total newb not to know the answer and then I was given an answer that bore little, if any, relevance to the question I had asked.
I won't say who that was...

I'm guessing you're referring to the question from last October? You've posted two more questions since then; the last one has no comments or answers, and the one before has an answer that "looks likely".

If you want I can send you a couple of link to how to not void your warrenty stickers while still opening the case! When you do something like that (fix things) that are broken I find a sense of acheivement course through me. If you do a fix for a friend you can usually get several drinks out of it!

As the grinder is at least 8 years old I fink the warranty isn't an issue

What's Going on of the Day?
I am not quite sure if this is a rant or a question...
The "CP featured article area" has lately been flooded with IoT[^] articles. Nice, but I wonder if this is due to a huge increase in influx or if there is some Maunderistic [or such] editorial decision behind this. (I also wonder if I should be looking for a new job.)
Life is too shor
