Yep! it brings me back to my old and happy student days
You always obtain more by being rather polite and armed than polite only.

What do you want:
1 Dutch origin (as in The Netherlands)
2 Dutch speaking (as in Flemish and Dutch)
3 Singing in Dutch (and not English)
1: Golden Earring
2: The Scabs, Hooverphonic, Channel Zero
3: Cpex, Belgian Asociality
And with that I assume you mean really "rock" or heavier as main stream, because I know a lot of artists which have an occasional rock song or have an extensive protfolio in another genre.
Does that suffice ?

Don't kill me for this:
Caught in the act

Had to google that.

In my defence I have to say, the only Dutch rock band I know is Golden Earring.
But I'm old enough to remember "Caught in the act" from the time I was a teenager...not that I listened to that kind of music

I'd say Heidevolk, although I admit I'm not 100% sure about their country

I thought of Doe Maar, but I don't consider them a "rock" band really... (I mean, I like Doe Maar, it's just that it isn't rock music)

As a Dutchy I know of course:
- Golden Earring (Long blond animal, radar Love, When the lady smiles)

Microsoft is NOT always the expensive beast. They ARE expensive to corporates. But they've been trying hard to get into direct consumer segment. Particularly Smartphones/gadgets. They'd continue to shower offers!
So think twice before you make a bold scathy statement, gentle man. Else you will end up sounding like a Developer Donald Trump.
Starting to think people post kid pics in their profiles because that was the last time they were cute - Jeremy.

Microsoft has been gouging independent developers for decades. This new benevolence is entirely out of character and something we're not used to seeing.

Not entirely.
It's called competition!
Remember, IE was NOT free initially. Then Mozilla came, then IE was free.
VS 5, 2002, 2003 (which I bought at an affordable price for a student or poor young worker) were not free, then SharpDvelop was becoming an increasingly attractive open source and free alternative. Then they started community.
Same thing now!
iOS is eating their market (perhaps Linux too?) and they have free dev tool?
It's clear to me. I love Microsoft. And I have its competitor to thanks for that!
