Good thing this forum is text based, as I have a herring problem.

My faith in any of you all's ability to write a good pun is starting to flounder.

I'll write good puns sardine tomorrow.

Just read about it today. Looks as dumb as some of our events. Apple doesn't fall too far from the tree, I see.
Edit: Cooper's Hill, to be more precise.

It's perfectly ordinary banter, Squiffy.
Bally Jerry, pranged his kite right in the how's-your-father; hairy blighter, dicky-birded, feathered back on his sammy, took a waspy, flipped over on his Betty Harpers and caught his can in the Bertie.

Are you Penis van Lesbian??? Methinks you think that sounds like cockney speak. It doesn't.

LOL!! Good name. I'll remember that.
You don't recognize this line from Monty Python? Or you joke? If you don't know the bit, look it up. They are amazing.

It translates to Dick van Dyke

Nope, not a fan - like the odd sketch but find most of it a little tedious. The Goodies were funnier, or the Two Ronnies.

I don't know why, but I assumed if you were a fan of Asimov...

That doesn't follow...
Bit like if the queen loves corgis and I love the queen I must love corgies. I'm a cat person!

Agree. I always felt there was something wrong with me for not agreeing that the Pythons were the funniest shows ever.

Hello Everyone,
I want to ask you about my current job in a software house. I am working in a company where my job title is Application Developer and so far I have made 2 projects using latest tools and languages.
But I am confused because the company owner encouraging there all developers to code responsive applications and then just use frames to covert it into mobile apps. I wanna know is it a good practice to use frame to show a web app as a mobile app? And also I want to know may I need to carry my future here or just switch my company?
|
|
|
|
|
2 part question, first part with frames goes into the web forum and the philosophical piece goes here. If you are unhappy, then switch jobs, only after you have another job. Good luck.

I am happy with my job because I am learning new technologies but my senior colleagues are worried due to current way of development and discussing the future of company that its going to dead end. That's why I am having so much stressed about my career.

Listen, in our profession, things change fast, especially companies...they can, not all of them. So, use the info that other senior colleagues are saying, think about it, and make a sound judgement on it.
An advise to you, is when you leave (if you leave), always ask for a minimum of 5K more than what you were making before. This works. As you progress through your career, so does your base salary. If you don't advocate for yourself financially, no one will.

Yes, you should always look for opportunities and create a career path for yourself, based upon the things you are strong and enjoy doing. If you don't like where things are heading with your correct employer, then your eyes should be wide open.
With that said, employers don't like it when potential employees have a bunch of short stints, they like people to stick around for 3 to 5 years. They do expect younger and junior level people to have short stints as they are just starting out. In my case, I am middle aged and looking for stability; so I work at a big company and would never consider consulting unless I get laid off or if I become a programming guru overnight!

Quote: like people to stick around for 3 to 5 years I'm afraid this is not in my case. Old non efficient people owns the position.
