Simply stated, you cannot convert 'anyone' to 'developer'.

How about ...
Employee anyone = new Employee(random(name));
try
{
Developer developer = (Developer) anyone;
}
catch (exception e)
{
throw new cannotConvertAnyoneToDeveloperException();
}
Or use Python, there is bound to be a package in Python explicitly for this conversion

Of course you can; it's just data. So you need to roll your own parser/formatter/converter?
The deer-in-headlights look is natural from the new guy when they realize this, and have no clue where to begin.

Depends, actually. If Type 1 and Type 2 are simple types (int, long, float, string, etc...) then yeah, no sympathy for those developers.
If Type 1 and Type 2 are large classes with no common inheritance hierarchy? I could understand a novice developer not knowing where to start with that problem.

I have a kind of OCD with updating all my software.
Yesterday night (8 hours ago, since now it is still the night played Overwatch late! ) there wasn't much to updates....
But now (at 4AM)
Overwatch, Visual Studio (2 updates), ESO, and Steam all want to have big updates!!!
What is going on?!
|
|
|
|
|
Other updates won't get past the Windows 10 Anniversary Update that's going on, on this machine right now.

I am pretty sure BattleNet and Elder Scroll Online will still update!

Oh, now I get it!
one more (long awaited) update!

The language is JavaScript. that of Mordor, which I will not utter here
This is Javascript. If you put big wheels and a racing stripe on a golf cart, it's still a f***ing golf cart.
