And if the poor bastard did not speak your native language he would be railroaded out of town!
A few years ago in Brisbane a late teenager (18 I think) went to a party, got drunk and dived into the river at the back of the property. Broke his silly neck! He then sued to householder for negligence - and won.
You are not the only one with a screwed up justice system!

We'd love some german or british justice. Way better than ours. Last week a guy averted a mugging to the damage of his girlfriend and punchesd the thief. The thief sued him... and wasn't prosecuted, while the guy will receive a trial.
A couple of years ago a thief broke into the property of a family, the man shot him (non-fatally), he had the weapons took away and a trial for attempted murder while the thief got out spotless clean, even if he had a criminal record and was in evident fault.
Another time, more years ago, a thief broke into a 2-storey house. The owner woke up and from the top floor shouted "I warn you that I am armed and will defend myself if you don't go away!". The thief called the police who took the weapons from the victim and sued him for armed threat.
And these are the first few cases that I remember on the tip of my memory.

Which is going to cause permanent mental damage:
Wiping a kids parts during diaper change?
Or submitting them to a sex change operation?
How can we be surprised when the punishment and judgment will suddenly come?

From the article itself: Quote: The state law defines child molestation as intentionally or knowingly engaging in sexual contact with a child under age 15. Sexual contact is defined as any direct or indirect touching, fondling or manipulating of a child’s genitals or private parts. I don't see how someone could interpret diaper changing as molesting when molesting has a clear definition. I think you're getting worked up over nothing.

You obviously missed the definition in the following sentence:
Quote: Sexual contact is defined as any direct or indirect touching, fondling or manipulating of a child’s genitals or private parts.
And the previous paragraph:
Quote: The ruling made last week, on September 13, states the law does not include a clause requiring that the touching coincide with an intent to harm, violate, or arouse.
As I don't have kids, maybe I've missed something - is it possible to change a nappy or bathe a baby without having any "direct or indirect" contact with their "private parts"?

Probably not the intent of the drooling morons in the legislature. The drooling morons in the court, by insisting that they can't limit the literal wording of the law and insisting that the public rely on prosecutor discretion to prevent abuse are no better. I'm pretty sure a certain sunshine of a sheriff[^] is already planning to expand his counties prison camps to hold half the states population.

Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?

But what's scary is the large section of the country (and at least one Supreme Court Justass) want the courts to take laws literally and not legislate from the bench. Meanwhile, leaving it to the discretion of an attorney general or sheriff allows them to be judge-and-jury, certainly to the extent of little the guilty go free. Bribes can be cheaper than legal fees - if you can afford them. Experience has shown that common sense and integrity will be trumped by corruption every time.
