Well, thats Nagy for the day(s). I remember going to France with my Parents and going into a cafe on the dock side (@ about 06:00) and there were some Dock Workers and I assume from the smell Fishermen drinking shorts with a French stick with Bacon (Breakfast of Champions)

From the brief look at some MATLAB code I saw it seemed to BASIC oriented with bits O' Pascal & C stuck in to (presumably to get around problems) and I was a little supprised it could create Exe's, Ihave only seen scripts generated...

Yup it is! Third Thursday every November.
Me and a mate throw a party every year to celebrate.
It is a well preserved secret that the "delicacy" of the wine is just an excuse to have some fun, so do not tell anyone.

The Japanese are almost as good, sashimi, sake and beer at 6 am is an excellent start to a saturday though I do prefer stinky cheese and pig.

Tim Bowness - Sing To Me[^]
Came across this album on Spotify some weeks ago.
Usually not my cup of tea, but this song is particularly good
It's (prog)rock music, on the soft side, bit of ambient, some violins.
Enjoy

Just listened to this song[^]. It always brings back the good old days. And yeah it's unplugged.

I like the instrumentals, and progression toward the end. The intro was a little slow and wimpy for me.
Had to look away from the monitor because the lady wouldn't stop staring at me. Creepy.
Thanks for sharing.

That's reeeeeeallly cheesy. But maybe I'm gettin' old or something, becuase I actually quite like it. The video is hilarious. Like something an Irish indie band might have put out in the 80s.....

Yesterday I devolved almost a full month pay for my new PC. Since I need two ancient DDR (PC400) modules for my dad's dinosaur I ordered them too so to bundle it with my shipment.
They actually called me to be sure I didn't buy them for mistake I was kind of expecting that but it's still failry rare for a commercial activity to put that much attention to the customer's orders. I'm now a little less worried about the order!

I ordered my rig from a shop in Tuscany (I'm in Piedmont) and people there are generally nicer and more caring about customers, it's 3 years I attend to a big Comic con in Tuscany and I've always been treated exceptionally well.
Also it's a shop/workshop where you can send your PC and have it returned safely overclocked or order the pieces and have it assembled and overclocked, with delicate operations as delidding.
And they're about 10% cheaper than the cheapest italian online vendor I know (buying from the US isn't convenient because expedition and customs make up entirely for the difference in price but I'd have more trouble returning faulty items).

I had a similar pleasant surprise after I'd used my phone to order a Makita trimmer.
The bit where it said 110v was off the edge of the screen, so I ordered the wrong one (I wanted 230-250v), but they e-mailed me to confirm that I did actually want the 110v version.
Mind you, that was about five years ago, and I haven't had anything like that happen since.
