"Charged" simply means they are applying the law. If you're being fully pedantic, then yes, a female rape victim should be charged with extra-marital sex. Kind-of like how if all four of your tires blow out at once and you crash your vehicle, you get charged with failure to control.
Once in court, I'd fully expect any sane judge to look at the circumstances and immediately issue a non-guilty verdict. Any one that doesn't, fully deserves to be sent to whatever Hell they happen to believe in.

Today I - finally - had the opportunity to test SQL running on Ubuntu server... I'm impressed... Really...

Impressed with what?
In Word you can only store 2 bytes. That is why I use Writer.

It is easy to install (and much lighter than on Win) and it works including CLR...found it fast at least for a half blind VM I used to test...
It got the backup file from Win with no problem...It seems to be easy on machine resources...

So a backup file created on WinSQL restored without issue on LinSQL? Nice.

Wait.
Are you sure you were running a Linux OS?
Cuz, easy to install not usually one of the properties of Linux.

That's actually very cool. And it's really cool you've tried it over on Linux.
There is really only one reason left for staying on Windows OS --- developing windows apps via VStudio.
However, with MS moving VStudio to iOS and the fact that soon no one will be running any Windows apps, it wont' matter soon and I'll move completely to Linux.
I've been doing more and more Android and iOS development lately anyways.
Windows is overhead now.

When a package fails to install, it's probably not any worse than having an MSI that fails to install.

Not at all - and dpkg or manual decompression may solve the problem "cleanly" enough. Been there...

I know you don't like Python, but what do you think of this[^]?
I'm thinking of porting it to C#.

Python is ok, I'm beginning to realize (ok, I'm a slow learner) it's not just the language, it's also the programmer. I still dislike script languages, but the programmer can do a lot to make it worse!
Case in point, I decided to implement a few models and REST API's with Django/Python, borrowing the models from an existing project. Besides the fact that Django's migrate is lame (you can't add a non-nullable field to a table with no data without going through hoops), I quickly realized how badly written the existing model code was.

I mostly use Python for quick scripts in my project (macro replacement and stuff), as well as various pre- and post-commit hooks for Git (all using PyGit2/LibGit2 to get the Git metadata). Some of them are kinda hacky, but they work rather well.
I plan on writing a basic API documentation system with it as well. That may take a while, though.
