Sorry, but paper books are a fire risk and can be used as incendiary devices, so you'll have to just hum to yourself, for the eleven-hour flight.

Any affected device, including e-readers, will need to be placed into hold luggage.
It seems that bombs in the hold luggage are much safe than bombs in the cabin baggage.

Never left them.
If I buy a copy of a book, I want to own that copy. I don't want the publisher to be able to break into my house and remove the copy at some later date. I don't want the publisher deciding that I can't lend or give it to someone else. And I don't particularly want the publisher to destroy my copy when I die.

Skipper: We'll fix it.
Alex: Fix it? How you gonna fix this?
Skipper: Grit, spit and a whole lotta duct tape.

The manager of our QA department emailed me...

This is the MANAGER of QA
If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
Everything makes sense in someone's mind.

Tell him to press 'Send', and that you won't be able to do anything until Microsoft gets back to you.
Sudden Sun Death Syndrome (SSDS) is a very real concern which we should be raising awareness of. 156 billion suns die every year before they're just 1 billion years old.

Some of you might have read the post about the web master complaining to Mozilla about their warnings attached to the login page. Welp, as of now it seems the site has survived multiple SQL injection attacks, and is now offline

This, ladys and gentlemen (Are there even ladies around here anymore? The last one I've seen here was @DeathByChocolate , but this seems like ages ago to me right now - anyways), is why IT projects fail - Dumbnuts who don't have a clue being unable to listen to and process new information, or mostly information at all. But we already knew that from the Clifton Bed Time Horror Stories, right?

So...it actually did not survive the attacks.

Hi web. Nice to meet you.

(I've tried looking around the internets, but I couldn't find a good answer.)
OK, so I do a posting about current affairs and get a lively thread going on, but then some troll starts trolling. I can delete his posts individually, but I'd like to stop him cold. I don't see any menu item that would easily do this, and it seems that the only thing I could do in general is delete my thread, which of course is what I don't want to do. Perhaps a Facebook programmer that hangs around The Lounge here can give the answer.

It's Facebook.
Delete the account (yours, not his) and move on with your life.

What makes you think you own the thread?
|

It was posted on my timeline, ergo I own it.

You can either block the said user completely and then delete whatever he had posted manually or set up a custom security group which will only allow or deny certain people from viewing the post. This[^] might help.
