A very nice thought, but I would never choose whisk[e]y. Gin and vodka, sometimes in the same glass, I am fine with but I tend to hold back on whiskey except for a few specific ones.
Now a Gin Soaked Advent, I'd go for that*!

Ah, but you haven't read the text thoroughly enough: It IS indeed a GIN calendar - not whisky! 
(They DO have whisky calendars also, but this particular one is not)

I determined long long ago that first thing in the morning is not the brightest time to be putting sharp instruments to ones face and leave a rather crimson testimony of ones manual dexterity while awaiting full consciousness. And any other time is most likely moot.
