I see Stalker is among the top rated movies on IMDB on position 195, definitely have to see it !

yeah and the dark knight is at #4, now that is a movie that wasted way too much time to give nothing.
Only good thing about that list is the worst movie ever didn't make the cut (even though people still talk about it as if it was important).

Tarkovsky's Stalker is great. It's long and slow, however it is a great film!

I've seen basically all sci-fi movies with IMDb rating higher than 5. Any year, any country (except India, because the ratings are "faked" by India being so populous and subjective) I could find actual movie to watch (French, German, Czech, Polish, Russian, Brazilian, Argentinian sci-fi, etc.) If you want a sci-fi movie that you never seen. I'm here.

Yeah, I love Czech comedy sci-fi movies like:
I Killed Einstein, Gentlemen
Tomorrow I'll Wake Up and Scald Myself with Tea
You Are a Widow, Sir
And also Zeman movies, really great.

As I recall very boring. Saying quite a bit since when I saw it (not when it was released) I would watch anything with enthusiasm.

Yes, that's the problem for most people, obviously this film is from another (Soviet) era.
But I always admire film makers that have the audacity to put lengthy scenes in their films.
Think the Soviet film committee was not pleased with some scenes either.
Speaking of lengthy scenes, Michael Haneke's film Caché also has a very lengthy scene in which you only see a house in a dark street for minutes, and nothing happens, love that scene !

I saw the US clone (didn't like it very much). It is definitely on my list, but I have to persuade The Wife.

As a software developer, I write a lot of procedures, does that make me a proctologist?

As long as you avoid re-entrant code you should be fine.

Further to the conversation immediately below.
On Monday morning at the office someone walks in and says "I just saw X and it was great"
Would anyone here say - That movie sucked and "you've no taste"
Yet people will say it on the webz.
Amazing isn't it?

I would. But more than likely I wouldn't have seen X. Or even V for that matter. I might need to see M sometime though.

Really - instead of disagreeing on the movie you would go right to a personal attack?
Oh - MM was better.
