I'm looking for a movie and I can't find it, perhaps someone here knows it:
It's about a 14-16 year old kid that travels through time and in each period he learns something about the car of that period. I think (not sure) after each period he goes back to an eerie place where he talks to someone (or to a computer).
If you know the title let me know.
PS: See it as a MQOTD where the Q stands for Question instead of Quote and I need a serious answer at some point.

Sounds like you're mixing up Back to the Future and Night Rider to me (David Hasselhoff must be the eerie thing you're thinking of!)

eerie ˈɪəri adjective strange and frightening.
David Hasselhoff might indeed be seen as strange, but frightening, nope, I don't think so.

He is seen as a singing god in Germany. Having heard him sing, I find that both strange and frightening

Says who?
I'm married to a German so I do have some insight, and as far as I understand he's mostly seen as a joke, with a cult following.
In contrary to popular belief, Germans do have humour. It's just different. Quite different actually.

As Robin Williams once said, Germany doesn't have any funny people any more. They killed them off in the last war.

My parents went to an André Rieu[^] concert in Maastricht last year.

Special, in the "special Olympics" sense?

Special in the "he arrived on stage in KITT" sense.

Are you thinking of The Vans That Time Forgot (1975)? In which Doug McClure is on a submarine and winds up in a strange, forgotten land called Carparkia which is full of neanderthals, dinosaurs, Mk I Ford Cortinas and Susan Penhaligon.
It's one of those films that was great in its day but looks a little bit silly now.

As Peejay writes, it was a good movie back then. Haven't seen it recently, so I can't vouch for how it has stood up to time. I would like to give it a try again, though.

Could it have been a book you read and your mind has turned it into a film you watched, perhaps.
