My UIX library documentation and landing pages[^] just went live!
For anyone having trouble with that link, the docs are also available here: uix/docs/index.md at master Β· codewitch-honey-crisis/uix Β· GitHub[^]
It's a user interface and user experience library for IoT. It's a thin wrapper around my graphics library but provides some important features like touchscreen support and interactivity.
The web is still sparse but the initial documentation is there. There was not actually a lot to document that isn't already documented in code, so the documentation is mostly code but it still took me a week end to end. I decided to try that because my GFX documentation doesn't seem to be grabbing GFX users as much as I'd like.

That is a lot of work, well done - I dislike writing documentation

I would like to see it - but your site is blocked because of invalid certificate

I just realized I haven't made an additional certificate for this site. I'll ask my web dev about this when he's back online. Thanks for letting me know.

Can you perhaps tell me the specific error you got, and whatever you're at liberty to tell me about your environment? (you're not running IE are you, for example? - behind a firewall or VPN that might disable certain ciphers, etc)
If I knew the specific error I might be able to run it down. Thanks.

No IE. But yesterday I was on VPN behind a lot of walls...
Now I'm on my home network and your site came up no problem... I think you can rest, it is something with the office network...
The error was of invalid certificate - I believe the office network does not recognize your root provider for some reason...

Thinking out lout, I guess:
SELECT star FROM table;
It was just the interactive console, not in code, but oof! I'm sure that's a Monday thing.

When you want to query a table but instead of typing it in the SSMS, you type in Teams chat. Been there?
|
|
|
|

Yes, but instead of typing in a query into Teams, you realize you've typed in some password...

Did that but in Google search tab

I like when I start writing extern on my variable definitions in a .cpp file. That's how I know I need more coffee.
Or when I start mixing C#isms and C++isms.
SQL/DML/DDL always vexes me though. The syntax makes a little sense now that I know they are 3 different languages, but I still can't remember it all. It's counterintuitive.

That's one of the reasons I prefer to use Linq methods in C# rather than Linq syntax - it's the wrong way round and feels "wrong" to me.
