That book looks really interesting and Conery is a very interesting speaker (I've seen him on PluralSight).
Too bad it is $49. I am a terrible cheap-skate. ($4.99 is more along my lines.)
Also, I do not understand this one topic he mentions:
"Essential Unix Skills"
Does peoples still use Unix? I thought it all Linux now. I'm joking but serious too.
Send along your copy when you're done. Glad to read it.

Unix, like JavaScript, is becoming an essential skill.
Unfortunately.
I have nothing against these technologies at all. Just sad that they feel like the lowest common denominator, not the best, future-proof solution

Never thought that Trump was a true politician, but guess if this is the case he is one of the best: He still has convinced his supporters that he is such a great leader for them, and that he is not strictly out there for himself, and does not care about the proletariat, just about the rich.

Yeah, his policies are doing so well for his supporters, but we all know that the truth is what you say it is, and not what it looks like.
The difficult we do right away...

I first read that in Yoda's voice.
"Suspicious you should be."
Then I noticed the question mark.
"Suspicous? You should be."
That was a little disappointing.

Quote: For if every instrument could accomplish its own work, obeying or anticipating the will of others, like the statues of Daedalus, or the tripods of Hephaestus, which, says the poet:
'of their own accord entered the assembly of the Gods;'
if, in like manner, the shuttle would weave and the plectrum touch the lyre without a hand to guide them, chief workmen would not want servants, nor masters slaves. Aristotle, Politics, Book 1, Part 4. mentioned in this interesting Aeon essay: [^]
«... thank the gods that they have made you superior to those events which they have not placed within your own control, rendered you accountable for that only which is within you own control For what, then, have they made you responsible? For that which is alone in your own power—a right use of things as they appear.» Discourses of Epictetus Book I:12

It is true that stock markets are evil. If you have the stock market going up the way it is when the US federal deficit is beyond imagination, and Trump is in office, then there is something wrong with the Stock Market.
