It USED to be a young peoples area when computers where new. But the people that were young when computers were young are getting older as well.
In the future, I think that we will see all ages in the business... I doubt it's going to go back to young people only.

The value of experience cannot be denied. Looking at myself, I see a huge gap between me from 5 years ago and me now. Although I am of the thought that learning more depends on the learners attitude rather than age.

Proverb or not, but only a fool can ask more questions than 100 wise men can answer. Look at Q&A.

Too much experience and you start having trouble recognizing anything.
Jokes aside, thanks for sharing your wisdom.

One of my t-shirts says so (in a slightly modified wording: Experience - the ability to recognize a mistake when you repeat it). No other t-shirt text has gained more recognizing nods from my friends an colleagues.

Call that, and raise you one.
I have T shirt: "Honest Lawyer Pub"
I was told that it exists... by a lawyer who gave it to me many years ago.
I used to wear it to my grand daughter's softball games. Many times, lawyers asked where they could get one.

Ok, so now we can proceed with finding out who is the tallest, the shortest, hairiest, heaviest, lightest, slowest, fastest...
As the last discipline we should reserve the IQ tests. I would expect the reversal of the usual pyramid, with the one complete idiot I know here lonely at the bottom tip.

Some of us have a life outside Code Project.

Pure speculation from my part: CP started off as the one-stop shop for Windows development (or at least that's how it turned out to be, whether by accident or not). Since Windows, as a platform, is becoming less and less relevant[*], you won't find as many of those just getting started on this site.
[*] My point being, how many are still doing traditional "desktop" development?

I'd hypothesize a distinct demographic for QA posters compared to frequent users of other forums/lounge, etc.

Various people have complained about it in the past. My response is to point out that firstly, you will always get trolls on an open forum, and secondly, votes do not really matter since you cannot convert them to cash.
